Huh? Isn't this round for both track 11s and penultimate tracks, and aren't we limited to one song per artist? So we can't have both How Much a Dollar Cost and i? Maybe matt can explain this. I've read the comments above, but I'm not 100% sure if it applies to this round or the next one. Edit: So now that I understand the rules, it is clear to me that i needs to go. Better than How Much A Dollar Cost? No way Aka what a lie! I love the bizarre textures of How Much a Dollar Cost, and the storytelling is Kendrick at the peak of his powers, but i is such an inspiring anthem of hope for a community that often has none, and then there's the context of the album that places i at a homecoming concert where Kendrick brings back all that he's learned from his fame back to the hole where he was born, breaks up a fight while encouraging his fellow people to stop the useless violence that has only enabled their oppression, and then delivers a rousing acapella verse about the Negus to drive home the point that, yes, black people are born to rule and can resist institutional racism. But there's no point in arguing over which song's better if they're both on what will be remembered as the greatest album of the 10's. Let's make a deal. We can have How Much a Dollar Cost if you do everything within your power to ensure that the most perfect song of all time (aka Desolation Row) makes it onto the most perfect album of all time in the last round.

It would be weird to have this as anything but the closing track, but not nominating it for this round would be a sin. Ride the snake! It wouldn't be that weird for it to be the penultimate track. I mean, it's in the opening sequence of Apocalypse Now.

Yeah, but I think it makes sense being that way in that movie, whereas in this case... nevermind, I'm not going to try and make people not vote for it

You know I can only vote for it once, right? Or do you mean I should make speeches about it? I guess the easiest way would be if someone could break the deadlock with a deciding third vote?

That gave me a good laugh, thanks for that! Yes, of course, you should lather all the praise possible on Desolation Row, with all the extravagant bombast of my rants about Kanye West. Are you up to the task?

Also, lubeck, I'm pretty sure that Rebellion (Lies) was nominated in the track 9 round. I mean, there are songs I would like to nominate again too, but I don't think that's allowed.

I know I like it, but I don't remember if I like THAT much

Yeah I agree that songs which had been nominated previously shouldn’t be allowed during these two rounds.
It should be tracks which are 11-12 onwards. Loads of albums have more than 12 tracks so this should be their chance

But don't stress about it. We're all unintentional comedians sometimes.

Here is a little something I whipped up today. A playlist featuring all 10 of the tracks, in order, that we've voted on so far:

Are we ever gonna finish this ? Trying to revive this thread? You might as well try solving the Israel-Palestine conflict while you're at it.

Are we ever gonna finish this ? You could make an album in half the time it took to make this list

Are we ever gonna finish this ? Honestly we could slap a closer on here and call it good since that would make it 11 tracks.

Ten track albums usually flow the best - why not just end it at ten?

Shame we didn’t get to 12 for whatever reason but those 10 songs are absolute belters. Good work everyone
