Not surprised at all. I love The Kinks - I still maintain their the best 60s British band after The Beatles - but that now means my nomination for the last track won't be Waterloo Sunset (thanks a lot @id1edreamer!   ). Pleased to see Viva La Vida in the top three - I will always fight that songs corner! No matter how ubiquitous the tune is, it is still one of the smartest, most finely crafted and unique pop songs of the last 30 years. absolutely, i wanted waterloo sunset as well, matt, and i feel it would have easily trounced anything and everything put up against it. however, isn't it a track 13? that's why i figured we'd better get a kinks track on this thing sooner rather than later. |

Yeah you're right, it's track 13, but to clear up any confusion, we can choose any penultimate or final track from an album, regardless of the track number. Keeps things as flexible as possible! |

I'll also throw 'Weeping Willow' by Verve on here too. Seeing that 'Butterfly' (which I REALLY want on this album) may never get on the LP, might as well go with one of the best and the underrated song on Urban Hymns. |
