Any chance for an Oasis release this year? Definitely Maybe 25th anniversary? BBC sessions? Supersonic soundtrack? When Noel releases a new album it won't happen since Ignition can't handle two releases at a time. (Remember Chasing Yesterday and Morning Glory in 2014/15?) I see no reason not to hope for a 20th anniversary SOTSOG reissue, seeing as Noel spoke about all the Oasis albums being reissued around the time of Chasing The Sun. February 2020 will be the 20th anniversary but I'm hopeful that a SOTSOG boxset will be under my Christmas tree in 2019.

A Giants rerelease? The revisiting of dull mediocre albums really would be a money grabbing pisstake.
I’m all for albums being given the deluxe boxset treatment for those that herald something significant and are held in different esteem, whether that be for historical reasons (Be Here Now) or genuine quality (Definitely Maybe and Morning Glory). There’s nothing of any significance whatsoever with these post-90s albums and they are best left in the past as the forgotten totems of a band that was past it/couldn’t be arsed.

Yep the only vaguely interesting bit would be the Death In Vegas sessions, plus the odd unreleased/leaked tune that is knocking around in the vault. There probably aren't even enough b-sides to fill disc 2 of each album if they followed the formula of Chasing The Sun, plus the live performances around the last two album tours will be pretty ropey from Liam's point of view. I can't see Noel bothering with it. It'll be Knebworth or a new Oasis record many years in the future imo.

Giants is a good album - just not great like the three albums before. But there are some superb songs on it: Bushes, Go let it out, Who feels love, Gas Panic, Roll it over... I'd absolutely love them to re-release the later albums as well cause I'm dying to hear the DIV sessions...

What is meant by “RKID090”?

What is meant by “RKID090”? It would be the next to-be-used catalog prefix number on Oasis's label (Big Brother). For instance, the Be Here Now Chasing the Sun 3-CD release was RKIDCD85X.

A feature length documentary shot in an "Apocalypse Now" type setting with Marlon Brando replaced by the legend that is Oasisblues, who in a style similar to Col. Kurtz's monologues will deliver a critical examination of the life and works of LG whilst summarily dismissing Noel's contributions or explaining why the credit in fact belongs to LG indeed anyone other than Noel Come to think of it, maybe it's just getting late but right now that sounds like a belting release! Noel don't surf! And we think he should... Noel don't surf and you know that it ain't no good. Noel don't surf for his hamburger Momma. Noel's gonna be a napalm star. X

Made this thread almost 5 years ago with my former account. Don't know how I came on RKID090, but it looks like it will be the Knebworth documentary + one or both nights! I really wonder what the title will be.

I would have loved the best of the 00s. 00s Oasis were very hot and miss in comparison but a Best of might have given them some recognition for all the great work they did in that decade. They didn't call it a day after Knebworth, which seems to almost be the narrative these days.

True but you can't listen to plans for a release.

Well, I'm not going to vote in this but obviously we're getting the Knebworth release this year and I wonder what the next Oasis release will be after that.
