Echo and the Bunnymen don't get the credit they deserve tbf I agree with this. They looked to be on the verge of stardom but because they never reached it like The Cure or Depeche Mode did seem to undermine them. Bigger isn't necessarily better (that isn't a slight on The Cure or Depeche Mode) in my opinion though because I think Heaven Up Here and Ocean Rain rank as two of the greatest albums of the 1980s.

The Coral Belle & Sebastian The Zombies Elliott Smith (his fans overrate him a lot but most people underrate him) Echo & The Bunnymen Kurt Vile Cotton Mather Alvvays
Just to name a few. Forgot a lot.

Embrace!
If Oasis had released this song as a single, everyone on this forum would fucking love it, and rightfully so.

Danny's not a great singer but his vocals have a vulnerability on the more contemplative tracks, which makes him quite authentic. Although most of their albums aren't flawless, they are a great b-side band, and Drawn From Memory is their one album that really gets it perfect. Its the album Oasis should have made after Be Here Now.

I miss that early Embrace... In the latter albums they went for a Coldplay sound (again, not early Coldplay), and it was a shame

They're not the most popular band around, but quite many people near me seem to know this band.

So what do you do? Oh yeah, I wait tables too. No, I haven't heard your band 'Cos you guys are pretty new, But if you dig On vegan food, Then come over to my work I'll have 'em cook you something that you'll really love...
'Cos I like you... Yeah, I like you... And I'm feeling so bohemian like you.

Yeah, that's a tune. Noel ripped it off with "In The Heat of The Moment". Shame the result is far away of the original.

Los Campesinos are criminally underrated. Seriously.
Haven't made one bad album (http://www.metacritic.com/person/los-campesinos!), althought I think their latest, Six Scenes, is amongst their best - not enough reviews reported for this one yet.....
Saw them live several years ago in DC , put on a good show, too.

The Hold Steady doesn't get enough attention on here either. Brilliant lyricist.
