Seriously who gives a shit about song titles... and how on earth can you use it to base an opinion on whether a song is good or not when you've not heard it!? Baffling That guy who burnt his house down when DOYS came out cared about song titles. ✌️

Bad times!

If Universal Gleam is a cover of Flick Of The Finger, I wonder if All My People is a cover of D'You Know What I Mean... Maybe it's a covers album. Are any of the other titles Lennon or Beatles lyrics? [INSERT PIRATE SMILEY HERE] I was going to stay quiet but Im sure Liam wouldnt mind, universal gleam is actually a tribute to myself, he wanted me to co-write but I wanted it coming from his own heart. all I can say is that we got together and decided that the song (and album in general) should take heavy influence of this song due to the vibe, it expresses what he wants to do now hes free of oasis and beady eye. Liam said it would be "rock n roll fired into the floor" cant get proof today. I'm actually not a single bit amazed by this comment, 'cause I honestly was thinking some similar shit just for the sake of the joke. THANKS, MAN

*1994 newsflash, oasis track name leaked on upcoming Definitely Maybe - Digsy's Dinner* Oh I can tell, oasis are over before they've even started *newsflash* in 1994 there was no track record. *newsflash* in 2015, when a songwriter with a track record of writing amazing songs with occasionally shite titles announces a song called "Riverman"... no need for concern. *newsflash* in 2017 when a songwriter with a track record of writing trite songs with trite titles announces an album of songs with trite titles... it's perfectly acceptable to raise an eyebrow. Especially when he starts comparing them to Lennon FFS. Anyway, for the record, I hope the album is amazing and will be seeing him on tour regardless, la.

These titles are disappointingly lacking in unnecessary punctuation... :\

Just remember in spring 1995 song titles like these were floated around......... Hello Wonderwall Champagne Supernova Swamp Song She's Electric where? I read them in UK music magazines at Barnes and Noble in early 1995. Only way to get Brit rock news back then was that newsstand at Barnes and Noble. No internet kiddies.

This is that stage where the really popular thread goes through its talking absolute bollocks period for 7 or 8 pages.

I don't wanna spread bad vibes but I'm slightly disappointed that Liam's apparently the sole songwriter on every tune. I was hoping for a bunch of awesome co-writers. However there's still hope left that there might be a few ghostwriters involved

Would people really be more excited for this album if Ashcroft and say for example Johnny Marr and Weller had given him songs to sing?
All three have written some of my favourite albums but listening to what they've put out in the last five years, Liam's best songs are better IMO. Even if you disagree you cant say they've written great songs so they wouldn't give Liam anything better to sing.
Where it would be good is if hes got the advice of Ashcroft or even just experienced songwriters just to get that structure that he misses.
So from that sense, i would absolutely rather hear 11 Liam penned tracks with that guidance rather than songs given to him. Not only is it him putting everything out there, but its generally much more exciting too.
