you guys are crazy lol. yall discussing some fantasy thats coming out of some dudes head. "parts of DLBIA" "ashcroft is here" "DGA and SBM"? seems like this guy knows exactly what people where hoping for on this forum and is feeding you what you want to hear. In my opinion(i can have an opinion on him cant i??) this dude some crazy fan keeping you all entertained for the moment. notice how he said "believe me or not you have to see" its because he actually believes in his head that liam will play "bhn material" and "bring it on down". hes put so many half likely possibilities out there that the there's good odds of at least one of them coming true, then he can claim he was legit. its reached a point for me where I need proof tbh, I think any level thinking person must understand that you cant just believe anyone that tells you about anything, specially since its happened before if a person ran up to me in the street and told me the same stuff I wouldnt believe them without proof. Im simply on the fence about it all until I either see more solid information or he disappears completely and confirms peoples doubts. its just seems all abit too good to be true that he was doing one interview and suddenly its snowballed into all this. respect to all concerned. |

Yep, we just need to be patient - as the saying goes ' fools rush in where angels fear to tread'. The guy said he'd get us the proof of this gig; the guy also said he'd get us proof of his interviews before Christmas. The Glasgow festival gig was proved to be false despite reports in the Scottish media (even from BBC Radio Scotland, which I'm bitterly disappointed about as it's basically in my backyard) so any 'news' from 'sources' means I'm holding out for now. What we can definitely add up is the likelihood of an album before the festivals (so accurate guesses won't be a surprise...), so there will surely be an announcement within the next month. Also, info from Ashcroft in May stated he will be on the album and Liam will appear with him soon on stage. Whitecross's view that the songs are quite Velvet Undergroundy may suggest a more lo-fo approach perhaps? What are the structures of the songs like from his co-writers that could provide insight into what the songs may be like? Interestingly, who is the producer - Johnny McDaid the co-writer has worked plenty of times with Jacknife Lee....who, personally, would be a great choice for Liam (although McDaid has produced Biffy Clyro so he himself may be the producer...).. There's enough tidbits there to keep us going anyhow. |

Things can change, I understand why people would be doubtful and start questioning but stuff can happen. He may have been given the green light to film the rehearsal but management then decided they didn't want it getting out, that includes videos or photos. He obviously wouldn't want to jeopardize the position he's in now and has to do what he's told. Like I said, I understand peoples frustration and see why there are big doubts but we need to have a bit more patience. I hope bastardnumber1 can clear up things soon. He was online 2 hours ago. |

But IF this is some kind of con, then so what? It's not the end of the world. We are getting new Liam album and that's a FACT.

Fact or fiction.........doesn't matter. Any time between now and March we are gonna get Liam album news. Who cares if it's "leaked" today or officially announced in 2 weeks. Bottom line is we are extremely close to not only an album announcement but actually hearing new music in 2017. That's the only thing I care about.

I've been a member of oasis' forums for about 15 years... two things come to my mind, first "STOP THE CLOCKS!!!!", and the second, i don't remember exactly who, but a forum member met Gem Archer and asked for the album title... Gem said "Don't Believe The Truth" and the forum member didn't believe him (for what i recall)

Indeed, still no proof whatsoever of the rehearsal, but anyway I was more interested than actually excited by the "live reports" since, for every artist/band, all songs rehearsed don't make it into the final set. Remember Oasis playing "Gas panic!" at a soundcheck in 2008 (or was it during the DBTT tour? I can't recall exactly): they never played it live for that matter.
So at such an early stage Liam & the band going through Oasis/Beady Eye songs never meant we would get to hear them, let's not be over the moon at the mere prospect of something that might never materialize, this only brings frustration.
Bastardnumber1 said in early January he expected festival announcements to be made quite soon, & a few days after that we actually got several festival announcements. He also said Richard Ashcroft would be involved & a few days later as well Ashcroft confirmed a gig with Liam.
Either Bastardnumber1 is really involved with Liam's team like he says, or he's a liar/troll (call it what you want) who has a few connections with Liam's camp on which to base his made-up stories.
Either way, I'm excited at the prospect of Liam's album & gigs, but always waiting for an official confirmation before getting carried away as last-minute changes are always likely to spoil great expectations.

This time of year is up there with Christmas, for me. That period of time JUST BEFORE a Gallagher release where literally ANYTHING is possible. This might be false. It could be true, though! Fuck it, he could be doing a 35 track concept album about buying a croissant whilst stood on the arch de triomphe; I'd still be fucking excited. Viva oasis and viva Gallagher Album-eve!

All in all inviting media to the rehearsal while you still testing and cutting songs, struggling with your voice and stuff seems a bit unusal to me, but cool. I think it's true though. The part where he mentioned the tambourine hanging from the microphone stand before the whole thing started is pure Liam. You couldn't make this up, it's the details, the little things.
