Don't think anything has been said about it yet, it was radio X that tweeted about "Liam News" on Gordon's show to be honest, not Gordon, hope we hear something I was lured into listening by that, but all he said was what we already know, the festivals. Quite a disappointment, but on the other hand, Liam would hardly let him have an exclusive unless it would have been sth leaked via Noel and why would Noel want to help promote Liam? I still listened, you never know! But I turned off quickly, as apparently nothing more came.

Apologies to you all, I read this on the official radio X twitter page "After 3pm we've got arguably the best oasis track and LiamGallagher news! @gordonsmart 👀" & thought it may have been something new but unfortunately it wasn't, just news we already know

I also hate coffee but that tune I LOVE! I always agreed with John Robb that the JAMC were part of the reason McGee signed Oasis- Reid brothers deja vu. When he saw four blokes spanned across a stage almost motionless with a pounding drumbeat, two brothers fronting the band prone to fighting with glorious melodies buried under a wash of distortion, it must have reminded him of the very band that brought initial success to Creation Records. Yeah, there's definite similarities between the two bands. I seem to recall one of the Reid brothers even commenting so. 'Sugar' another Creation Record's band of that era also fits that description very well. Another great band.

when is news no longer news, far as I think, you have 1 day, after that its no longer news and then it becomes knowledge, you certainly cannot announce something as being "news" when its not even new, its already out there, if your radio station or slot is shit enough that you have to trick people into listening it then fire the DJ and flog off the desk, its over.

'Copper Blue' remains an excellent record, I think that was the Creation Records sound (the backwash of electric guitars and pop sensibility melodies) in many ways if you think of House of Love, MBV, Ride, etc.

I feel sorry for bastard1 - great thread with inside info about Liams new album and it devolved into a Liam v Noel thread.

bastardnumber1 , the 3 songs you've heard (or have you heard more now?), in what way would you say they were "Lennon-y" (as Liam termed them)? Is it just that Liam's doing his 70s Lennon impression with his vocal, or do they sound, stylistically, like Lennon as well? (i.e. the musicianship/arrangement/production of them) bastardnumber1 ... Sorry for the late reply, I didn´t see the question first and wasn´t online here over the weekend. The songs I heard didn´t sound "Lennon-y" at all. I´m going more with Mat Whitcross´ Velvet Underground comparison. But I haven´t heard the full album and they were no final mixes from what I know now. But in the next 3 weeks we all should know more cloudburster No need to feel sorry for me When there´s nothing new to discuss a Liam/Noel debate is always possible I just was a bit surprised to see a picture of George Clooney

Any idea on what video they were filming bastardnumber1? Guessing it's some sort of promo or teaser for the new single.

I genuinely don't think I can wait another few weeks before we get anything, the 100 refreshes a day are starting to get exhausting.

Album 12 tracks (one could be a secret track so maybe 11 official tracks) Single 1 b-side Single is a (faster) rock ballad...can´t describe it better (I could say now it´s the best Gallagher thing I heard for years but you wouldn´t believe me...but it is ) First gig beween march 18 and 25 in London A few small gigs after in England (could be under another name) Maybe a Glastonbury appearance For sure Japan dates, maybe US dates Castlefield Bowl will be massive (I honestly would suggest everyone in that area to get a ticket...and this is only my personal opinion...I´m not getting any money for it) One more big gig is planned in the UK Sitek is not the producer (just because it was discusssed here) BHN songs were rehearsed already and they sound great A new live cover is planned On a private note: I didn´t get anything yet and I´m sorry for that but it´s not in my hands. As soon as I have pictures or footage it will be posted here. Also, I´m writing what I can and want so no need to send me PMs. And if you post it all on FB, Twitter or IG at least say it´s from this board please. I don´t really need my (user)name but post the source.

Just a quick question on the bold part I've quoted. Was this one of the songs you heard when you did the interview or have you only just heard it recently? I'm quite surprised we are maybe only 2 months away from the album and haven't heard anything official yet.
