Personally I always had a soft spot for Girls in Uniform. Love that psychedelic instrumental coda!
Other strong candidates are: Sons of the Stage, Off at the Next Exit and Back After the Break.

I think that album with b sides would be the best BDI album.

The Gallagher syndrome: releasing your best songs as b-sides and bonus tracks. They will probably release the Knebworth gig as b-side to some demo in 2038.

Shout out to World Outside My Room (minus smoking cherry cola) and Man of Misery. Two overlooked tunes that should've been on the album instead of trash like Kill for a Dream and Beatles and Stones.

In The Bubble With a Bullet has always been my fab b-side by Beady Eye, Off At The Next Exit and Back After The Break are closely behind. I feel if they done a 3rd album it would've been of that caliber.

Can someone explain to me the appeal of Evil Eye? That one still hasn't clicked with me.

Can someone explain to me the appeal of Evil Eye? That one still hasn't clicked with me. It has got a relly good melody and a good chorus. For me, it's up there with the best things either Gallaghers have done since the split, and it's hands down Beady Eye's best song. Class song.

Back After The Break.
A well written song with a Liam vocal on it that is one of the very few from the BE era that I actually enjoy. It's a thrill hearing him sing lower down in his register, than we usually do, for the verses and "Walk tall/That's all" refrain.
I also enjoy World Outside My Room and In the Bubble with A Bullet. And I think Evil Eye is a good song, too. The rest, I'm not arsed about.

For some reason I really dig Two of a Kind.

Can someone explain to me the appeal of Evil Eye? That one still hasn't clicked with me. I've always really liked the song, myself, but even still, I think two factors are at play in it being as popular as it seems to be: 1. It's that rarest of things - a Liam-penned song that actually feels finished; and 2. It was tucked away as a Japanese-exclusive bonus track. But really, how can you NOT find a song that has the singer singing, at one point, for seemingly no reason whatsoever, " Marvin, what's going on?" appealing?? And I'm being serious - I'd much rather Liam write nonsense like that than rhyming "song" with "sing along" and other such inane things.

Across The Universe is a dreadful cover. Absolutely terrible vocals. Sounds like a total rush job on all levels. It's a shame too because 10-12 years ago I always thought Oasis could do a killer cover of that song. Now I never wanna hear Liam attempt it again

Evil Eye and OATNE are so good, and it's a shame most people wont ever hear them. If Liams solo album are anything like these, it will be a great album.

Just listened to girls in uniform the first time since 2013. God what an outstanding and beautiful tune. Makes me sad they buried Beady Eye so fast.

Why do people rate Evil Eye so highly?
I don't dislike it, but it definitely falls into that Lennon pastiche category for me. I definitely don't want his solo album to sound like that at all.

this thread should be titled 'Best BDI-side' as to not confuse people about which b-sides are in question here.

Here and there I can enjoy these Lennon type tunes from Liam and this happens to be one. I see what you're saying though.

Evil Eye is a great b-side - hence my vote for it. In some respects it should of been on the album. That's just my opinion, though.
