Off at the next exit and Back after the break were 2 of their best. It would seem Liam has Noel's ability of selecting songs for albums. Their dad must have been a fucking awful DJ

There's a few, but Four Letter Word, Flick Of The Finger and Soul Love come to mind first.
Whenever we get stoned, somebody always cracks Soul Love on. Simple at first, but a really atmospheric tune.

Off at the Next Exit by far. Liam's voice is shiver-inducing. Gem really surprised me on 'BE'. I always thought of him as writing the 'Wind Up Dream' shitty Dad-Rock style stuff. As much as I love the 60's, I hope Liam takes the BE approach over the DGSS style on his new album.

For Anyone because it captures that early 60's Beatles sound perfectly.

Definitely Flick of the Finger - if it had been an Oasis tune in the 2000s, it would rate as one of their best from that era. Absolutely no question about it. I think Noel is completely wrong to assert that there is something wrong with it 'because it doesn't have a chorus'. For me, it is better than a large majority of Noel's songs.
Not all songs require a chorus, and in fact, a chorus would have ruined this one. It would have disrupted that mantra like effect with the repetition of Liam's melodies and the heavy brass that constantly looms over the tune. A great melody it is too and it just snowballs into something bigger and bigger as it goes on before it grinds to halt. The song is also a real call to arms and its lyrics don't feel cliched and repetitive - it really hammers home the message.
Sometimes less is more and it certainly was in this case. Great song.

Good points. Wish it was their debut single from DGSS.

I don't think they ever bettered Four Letter Word tbh.
Flick would be the closest, but just doesn't seem as complete as FLW does.
