"Life is sneaking up behind It just won't let you go No it just won't let you go"
Liams vocals are great here, not much of a fan besides the bridge and the chorus though, the chorus is abit anticlimactic, just doesnt take off enough, the sunday morning call of BHN.
probably would only put the reprise and magic pie (though I do love the intro and opening verse) below it on BHN, serves the purpose of an album filler quite well so its ok.

It's a really great, well-written song. Brilliant, in fact. As theyknowwhatimean said, the horrible cymbals are the only real problem - and they seem to be a problem across the whole album to be honest. Maybe the more bass-y drums bits were just mercilessly drowned in noise and confusion?

I fucking love it and would maybe go as far as to say it sneaks into my top 10. Totally fallen in love with it over the last year or two.

I love this part of the song, Liam's voice is amazing on this part:
"You got a feeling lost inside, It just won't let you go Life is sneaking up behind, It just won't let you go No it just won't let you go"
But then I find the chorus to be a bit weak, I think it's one of their weakest chorus btw.

I like it. Obviously nowhere near a classic, but it has a strong melody and decent lyrics in spots.
The only minor criticism is the lyric "dirty shirt", but I'm nitpicking here.
The verses are both strong and solid, mind.
Noel's backing vocals completely make the song though. The way Noel can both complement and harmonize with Liam's voice to such a chilling extent still amazes me.

Legend has it that it was about Meg Mathews, but it was actually written before Definitely Maybe...

yeh not one of my favourites, but I do like it.
Another one written on tour but probably fully 'completed' during the Mustique sessions.

I like it, not exactly 'A Day in the Life' though.

He said that in this interview... @ approx. 03:40 he says: "A lot of stuff on this album...Don't Go Away, Girl In A Dirty Shirt...were written before the first album..."

Used to like it, but don't really anymore.
Need to properly listen to it again I think.

One of my very favourite lines:
If you ever find yourself inside a bubble You got to make your own way home
I've always loved this song (and I still do) since the moment I heard this song for the first time.
Top Oasis tune? - No, but the fact that it was ever played only once (and by Noel), makes this song very special.

Always been a favorite of mine since buying at a Missouri Circuit City day of release.
Think it sends an odd/curious/great message to the ladies..even if yer look is a bit dumpy now/then, yer still hot AF.
Someone mentioned the great Liam/Noel harmonies. Made me think for the first time ever...there must be a solo Noel take on lead vocals in the cocaine sessions vault somewhere.
With it being about Meg...surprised Liam got the lead vocal.
