It's coming soon. Opening ceremony will be on August 5th, more precisely.
I'm a massive fan of Olympic Games. I love watching all these sports during 16 days, seeing records being beaten, discovering amazing athlets, etc.
What sport are you the most looking for ? What are your bets 10 days before the beginning of the event ?

I love the Olympics as well Looking forward for water sports, fencing (which usually give us a lot of medals), volleyball, football and boxing, I'm not a big fan of athletics but I don't mind watching even though we lost our biggest (and maybe only) chance at the gold because of injury The sport I'll be following the most is basketball tho, USA as always are heavy favourites, and sadly we weren't able to qualify, but it's gonna be great to watch Argentina and their legends playing together at the Olympics for one last time after what they accomplished in the previous 3 editions

I'm really looking forward to triathlon, cycling, athletics, swimming, hockey, women's football, rugby and boxing. Is it not all athletics? For me it's all about the gymnastics. I was a gymnast for over a decade, became a judge of the sport, have coached it in the past... this is the ONE time every four years when the average person gets to see what it's all about.

Not looking foward to the dieceses that the athlethes will have, especially those who are going to be competing on open waters. It's a disgrace that they have to compete at a dangerous place For their health and the only safety mesurement was telling them to 'not open their mouths' I wonder if they know how does it work with skin and the other places.

Summer games officially begin the 5th, but informally today, with Football women's tournament starting, with Sweden - South Africa, today.
Gonna watch a bit of it, hope France will take a medal.

Boxing is once again Ireland's best bet of medals. KAtie Taylor should bring home the gold again and at least a bronze for 2 or 3 others.
Decent chance with the cycling tomorrow, Dan Martin & Nico Roche in with a shout.
Looking forward to the next two weeks

Van Vleuten's fall gave me shivers down my spine. Hope she's okay.

The Straya fans are bashing China, forgetting what O'Grady said in 2014 saying he isn't the only person in Australian sport to dope. Chinese members I am sorry for our hypocrisy

Are there Olympic eating contests? If so, I'd like to enter Beady’s Here Now into those.

It was an epic men's road race today. I'm looking forward to the women's tomorrow. Some course indeed. I backed Niabili, Martin & Rodriguez for in. Thought I was home and dry on the final descent and than that crash! Same thing happened in the women's race but on a much more serious scale. Hope she pulls through ok One of Ireland's best medal hopes is out. Paddy Barnes out on a split decision.

Bob Costas should be fired for his horrid line of questioning to the US Women's Gymnastics team last night.
Why is NBC so intent on making each athlete have a beef with someone else? Just shut up already.
