I think Why Me. Why Not? is Liam’s Best Song so far. Should’ve been a Single I'm baffled by the singles choices for that album. I know that Once has a lot fans here, so I'll give it a pass, but Shockwave and Now That I've Found You are both in the bottom half of the album in my opinion. I really do not understand how those got chosen over more interesting or just fun stuff like WMWN, Halo, Gone, Be Still (although I know that opinion is a little less popular in these parts).

One of Us was a great single choice, too, but yes. Shockwave and Now That I've Found You were pretty bland. Once, One of Us, WMWN, and Gone would've been a solid lineup of singles. Just imagine if we had heard Once or One of Us first ahead of this album...  |

Just imagine if we had heard Once or One of Us first ahead of this album... Agreed on One of Us, it's easily my favorite single of the bunch we got, although I've warmed up to The River as I've listened to it more. But yeah, that looks like a very solid alternate lineup. |

With the state of the world right now, there has never been a better time for Liam to release that loud punk record he keeps talking about. I kind of agree...but having said that I cant see why his team can't revisit that Morning Glory/Def Maybe Sound/Be Here Now Sound. More Sonic/90s sounding.. Prob because what he's doing now is more marketable and appeals to a wider audience. If he went all out on a proper punk style record and experimenting with different genres, I dont think it would do that well. At most it would be a pop/punk record. |

Chinatown is an underrated tune. Some of the lyrics are iffy, but:
Concentrate on winning
Forget about beginning
Forget about the middle and end
Is proper Harrison-esque stuff. Love it.

People just critisice them because they're not typical and generic. Chinatown is possibly my favourite song on AYW. It takes me back to the summer of 2017 everytime I hear it, it's a great tune. |

Even after all this time and the acoustic session version, I still thing Meadows is an awful sounding track and I can't help but feel that Misunderstood would have been a better choice for the track listing.
I don't know what it is but I just cannot stand the track. Music sounds off, Liam sounds disinterested in it and the lyrics leave a lot to be desired

Releasing Shockwave as a lead single was a mistake. It’s a plastic. Once would be much better. Yeah I know this song was released as single later anyway, but lead singles receive more attention, also Once was a kinda throwaway single w/o physical release and even mv (at first)
