A couple of Beady Eye ones: "Here come my world view on love, Here come my push come to shove: This life, don't know why we try. ... Ring out church bell number one, Two, three, four, five, and then some Someone else day's begun" "Yes! you're not wrong, she wants to know what's in your pocket Singin' that song, dig it all night long" "We was lookin' for trouble, in our bubble - me and you" "Nothin' ever lasts forever!" The last one was better when Echo and the bunnymen did it (with a g) Liam's backing vocals 'la , la , la , la , la' in that song though are incredible.

Into my big mouth, you could fly a plane And around this town you've cease to beeeeee. And as you look into the eyes Of the bloody cold assassin, It's only then you realise With whose life you had been messin'.

I met my maker, I made him cry, and on my shoulder he asked me why his people won't fly through the storm. I said "hey, listen up, man, they don't even know you're born".

Me and you what's going on. All we seem to know is how to show The feelings that are wrong.

Ive always liked his delivery on "now's the time to find out why"
for ages I thought he was singing "now is not the time to cry now's the time to find our way"

"...for my lasaaaaaagnaaaaaaaa." all of Hello because I love that song. "Get your shit together, girl" "You know it's getting hard to fly" all of Roll It Over "Gold and silver and sunshine is rising up Pour yourself another cup of Lady Grey" and "Everything I believe in Is telling me that I want more, more, more" - i love the gruffness in the verses all of Gas Panic!
I da na, man, Liam's voice is so special, I could go on forever.

Stradle my hope and make me pray To a God I've never seen, but who I've betrayed To the people who live the earth, the life In a place I'll never be 'til I'm crucified

There's just something about the way he sings "cuz I've been standing at the station in need of education in the rain, you've made no preparation for my reputation once again" that can't be bettered.

Rockin' Chair has some seriously heart wrenching vocals. Incredible tune, that, too.

Liam's vocal on this acoustic version of Up in the Sky is amazing.

What tongueless ghost of sin crept through my curtains Sailin' on a sea of sweat on a stormy night? I think he don't got a name, but I can't be certain And in me he starts to confide...
It's such a shame Noel wasn't on better form with his songwriting circa-SOTSOG. Liam was in such good voice for those sessions, if he'd been given more material to work with it, that album cycle could have been spectacular.

If you gave me a fresh carnation I would only crush its tender petals With me you'll have no escape And at the same time there'll be nowhere to settle - I trample down all life in my wake I eat it up and take the cake I just avert my eyes to the pain Of someone's loss helping my gain If you gave me a dream for my pocket You'd be plugging in the wrong socket With me there's no room for the future With me there's no room with a view at all
Liam nailed this.

How many special people change? How many lives are living strange? Where were you while we were getting high? Slowly walking down the hall, faster than a cannon ball Where were you while we were getting high?
Some day you will find me, caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova in the sky Some day you will find me, caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova, a champagne supernova in the sky
Wake up the dawn and ask her why; a dreamer dreams she never dies Wipe that tear away now from your eye...
Obviously, the whole of Champagne Supernova is great (remember a poster on here once describing Liam's vocals on (What's The Story) Morning Glory as "pisstakingly good"), but that opening minute or so, where he's holding back, and his singing sounds almost wistful, is always a real thrill. I wish he'd gotten more material to work with that he could've applied that softer touch to, then, in the golden era of his voice...
Still, at least he did some nice stuff in that vein later on, for Roll It Over. And Married With Children is always nice to go back to, of course.

Bound with all the weight of all the words he tried to say
Chained to all the places that he never wished to stay
Bound with all the weight of all the words he tried to say

Bound with all the weight of all the words he tried to say Chained to all the places that he never wished to stay Bound with all the weight of all the words he tried to say cast no shadow has always been a weird one for me, the bridge is more catchy and flowing than the chorus which then means the chorus feels like an anticlimax.
