7 pages of Noel this and Liam that. As I posted yesterday, I really hate this kind of thread because it always ends up Team Noel/Team Liam. The link OP posted in this thread was from oasismania. I don't mean to offensive, but it was a fan site/blog which has spreid the "rumour" that Liam will be retired, so I wouldn't take anything from their site too serious as it's nothing more than speculation, but not fact. Also if you love a band/musician, you should be able to deal with criticism they get. That's my thoughts. I agree, although what I don't understand is how people can have a "Team Liam" when he does absolutely nothing other than sell clothes :/

They are worse than some rappers. "Did you hear? Noel dissed Liam in an interview!" "Liam Gallagher dissed his brother in a track called Don't Brother Me" Until both are killed by unnamed assailants in drive by shootings after having recorded a number of 'Diss' tracks beforehand I will have to disagree with you Talking of that it's coming up to twenty years since Tupac was killed in a similar way, followed six months later by Notorious B.I.G. both a sad waste of hip hop talent IMO who died because of brutality and ignorance Violence isn't exclusive to Hip Hop of course, see Bobby Fuller and Sam Cooke as other examples in music. A Huffington Post article from February this year has a claim from a retired LAPD Detective that the department not only solved the 'why' of the two men's deaths, but also the 'who'- It is an interesting case he makes backed by some evidence Huffington Post Feb 2016

Tupac had one of his balls shot off. Think about that kids before getting lured into the evil that is hip hop. Guns don't kill people, rappers do.

How did you convince them you were dead before starting your new life, just out of interest?

Is there anyone in this forum who can say they don't listen to songs on Noel's albums and think Liam would do a much better job on this? On the first album, yes. There were about 3 or 4 I could see Liam singing. Maybe that was because some of those songs were Oasis cast-offs, but on CY I think Noel clearly wrote toward his voice. I couldn't imagine Liam singing any of the songs from CY, except Lock All the Door (which coincidentally is an Oasis cast-off) and possibly You Know We Can't Go Back. My thought is that as Noel progresses solo-wise, the thought of Liam singing one of Noel's songs will occur less and less. He'd improve The Dying Of The Light and Ballad Of The Mighty I.

I put the interview in google translate and got this as well. 'As you'll see tonight, my songs, like " Lock All The Doors", "Everybody's On The Run", "The Death of You And Me" are themes as celebrated by the public as the Oasis.' I think Noel is (like many other old rock stars) disappearing up his own arse. Lock All The Doors is the fucking pits. I don't wanna sound awful and patronising, but I genuinely believe that by the time Noel's next batch of songs roll out, people will've come round to mine and yours, and Matt and Spaneli's way of thinking, and hold the tune in the same regard as other 'Oasis-lite' by-the-numbers offerings with weak lyrics and lifeless production, such as The Hindu Times and Put Yer Money Where Yer Mouth Is.

I'm not sure he would be able to sing Ballad of the Mighty I. Noel is using a lot of breath in his singing that I don't think Liam is capable of. I think Liam would become short of breath. Same with the chorus of Dying of the Light.

That documentary sounds interesting! For some it was the end of real Hip Hop. But for someone like me ,who doesn't know much about Diddy, it's hard to link this all together. Rock'n'Roll has definitely a history of self-harm/violence too

The above videos show that Liam clearly still can sing, very very well infact. That's one of the most frustrating things about being a Liam fan, one day he can put in an amazing performance like that and then the next night he doesn't even bother trying to sing and just shouts and slurs through every word.
At the end of the day, these days we don't know what Liam is going to turn up any more which leaves us very frustrated, but he still CAN be a fantastic singer when he chooses to be like the videos above demonstrate.
Like I said before, most of what Liam says towards Noel is tongue in cheek (yes I know some of it is stupid) but from what I can remember Liam hasn't taking any real personal shots towards Noel regarding his music? Noel knows this will hurt Liam, Liam's voice is his most prized asset and I think it's a pretty horrible comment to make tbh, especially the state Liam is in at the moment, that's the last thing he needs to hear.

Most of what Liam says to Noel is tongue in cheek, but Noel says things to hurt poor Liam, oh no Can we please stop bullshit like this? FFS. They're both grown up men who are perfectly aware of what they're saying and what effects it may have. What else bothers me, is how some people on here talk as if they know them personally! You don't, so shut up. It's super childish to argue about this. I mean, imagine! Arguing about two people who don't even know you exist, on the internet! What's even worse is people creating threads to slag either of them off. That wouldn't even OCCUR to me if I disliked either of them. Who has the time for that? What's even the point you're trying to make? "Oh Noel is boring", "oh Beady Eye sucks". What do you want, except annoying and antagonizing people? Would you like a fucking cookie for that? Or other ridiculous arguments where people come with things like "yeah but Liam is so hot, you just NEED to look at him, in awe, while drooling, muuuuuch better than Noel, but I'm not trying to make this a Liam vs Noel thread" No, definitely not trying, but just feeling the need to add that little annoying thing, right. Also, why do there need to be teams? Fuck off with your damn teams. Learn to handle some criticism on your idols. Christ. So tired of this shit. Some posts seriously make me cringe. And it's not even like you can avoid it, because almost every goddamn thread turns into this!

The people who start crying about threads turning into a Liam versus Noel thing are infinitely more annoying than those people. And this consideration comes from the most annoying troll in the forum. Amusing.
