Well, good thing you don't get to decide what gets playpenned then.
I personally think those who offend other people are the most annoying. Not those "complaining" about threads turning into Liam VS Noel threads.

(which was my point and thus why asking genuine question) Theres lots of other posts where people opening bitch at each other, say unnecessary words etc that dont get play penned. Just seem strange that one did?

Why is there even a debate over whether spud's post was offensive? It's pretty clear he was trolling me, carlober, Mean Mrs. Mustard, anyone else fed up with this bullshit, and, to top it off, even the moderators! But I will say that arguing over what is acceptable on an internet forum and what is not is a far better discussion than fighting over Liam and Noel. Thanks.

Thanks. like Mean Mrs. Mustard encouraged we should all report trolling posts as there's probably lots we turn blind eye too. I didnt know he was trolling you guys, i like the people you've mentioned so guess he gets the last laugh as i did think what he said was right .. not in this thread as a whole but from the threads i've read over time seems to be a true post :/ which others seem to agree with .. idk what that says if is a troll brought that to light?

Oh there are also plenty of people who are sick and tired of those unnecessary Liam vs Noel discussions. Just for the record, I don't mind it if people have a preference, of course not. That's not forbidden or weird or stupid. But to call other people names, troll them, annoy them or insult them in any way, even when they post something that couldn't possibly offend anyone and isn't related to anyone here, that's just annoying, tiring, whatever. I think that's what annoys people the most, and that's what happens with most of those threads. Nothing wrong with a healthy debate, but don't go all tough internet guy on others. That's the way I see it.

That's the way I see it. no i know that i think we all feel that theres no need for Liam vs Noel over and over again thats agreed universally i guess?.. it also always ends boiling down to the same things no matter where it started which is frustrating which guess we can all agree.. but when people try and at least start a discussion about x and y as its annoying that it turns into the same old Liam vs Noel and then someone posts not another liam vs noel etc?? Then the thread evolves more about that then what they wanted to express initially .. Which is what i've seen happen many times before and thus why didnt see anything wrong with the 'trolling' Like you say about everything else i 100% agree with like said above

I thought it was a valid post, to be honest. I agree. I just read the post, and I don't think it's that big of a deal. I feel the reputation of the poster played more into it than the post itself. As a person who has said many a dumb thing on here, I don't think playpenning spud's post was warranted.

Bit below the belt that. More shocking to me though, is him saying his solo songs are better than his Oasis ones. And still takes of nghfb songs to put the boring classics in his setlist.... Right now this man should just shut up.

Personally I always rated Bonehead above them and consider it a travesty that he didn't sing on Bonehead's Bank Holiday, which would have showcased his vocal prowess to the world Is he better than Gem though, that's the real issue?

What if Noel is just trying to piss off Liam so that he'll make music and play live again and show him wrong? Just an idea. Annoying Liam on purpose has worked before, for example he has said in interviews that he used to anthagonize Liam to make him sing better in studio. Liam would do a good take, and then Noel would say something negative about John Lennon, and Liam would return for a second take that would be amazing. I thought this last night, I was several days too late apparently.

For all the bitching the Gallaghers have done with each other since the Oasis split, the glaringly obvious decline in Liam's singing ability hasn't been mentioned by Noel as far as im aware. This would obviously be a pretty weighty remark because its true unfortunately. Plus it would make life pretty difficult for Noel if the band ever did reform in the future. The press would ask why he was playing in a group with a shit singer etc.
It is the most obvious dig Noel could throw at Liam but he hasn't. Why? I think its because of the reasons i've stated but would like to hear other people's opinions.
I understand Noel did criticise Liam's voice after the Brit Awards performance in 2007 but Liam's voice has deteriorated a lot more since then i think. He sounds dreadful on certain Beady Eye tracks.

Actually, I was kind of shocked when he was requested to play Live Forever during one of the south american shows by a reporter, and he said no, because he couldn´t sing it as good as Liam... Sarcasm, an honest response, or just an excuse not to sing something he had not intention to play at all (yet) ?

Didn't he criticise his voice publicly a few days ago?

Worlds would fall apart! Empires would be destroyed! Stars would collide! *Honest Answer: His voice is normally not that bad to completely ridicule it in public. There is no need to ridule it completely when he can still pull of a good vocal. There is also a thread from a couple of days ago where this question maybe would have found more approval

Sarcasm, an honest response, or just an excuse not to sing something he had not intention to play at all (yet) ? I think what he meant was that he doesn't think that his own voice suits that song. I very much doubt he thinks Liam can sing it better, certainly not now anyway with his voice being the way it is, but he probably meant that it sounded better in the old days with Liam singing it.

Not that it matters now that Noel definitely HAS now slagged Liam's voice off, but I don't think he ever did in 2007, after they played the BRIT Awards. Thought it was pretty well known that was just tabloid bullshit...

Liam did a pretty good job of it the last few times. Although if you are talking about singing in a purely technical sense ignoring the individuality and nuance that a unique voice can bring to a song then I think we'd both agree that Noel should give up the singing and rent Adele for his tours. Because she is better. Personally I think Noel meant exactly what he said.
