I doubt Noel's indifference will affect the quality of the film.

Nothing new under the sky
Noel gives a fuck about Oasis
So I give a fuck about Noel
Lets enjoy what Oasis was as much as Liam does. I still respect the guy, because he respects me as a fan.

Personally, I don't care lol
If both show up then cool. If neither showed up it wouldn't change how I feel about the film.
I'm way off in Chicago. What the fuck do I care about Liam or Noel attending a premiere for one of the many documentaries they've been featured in?
Is anyone going to be at the premiere or listening to an Oasis record thinking, "You know this film would be much better if Noel had attended a one night premiere a few thousand miles from me?"
I don't know, in the end, I don't get the hoopla. Someone like Johnny depp is well known for not attending the premiere of his own movies. Does that mean he has no respect for his fans? I don't know. He's a grown man who gave me a decade and a half of a band I love, a good solo career, years of touring, and a documentary about his band. He doesn't owe me anything, and a one night premiere doesn't change my perception of him.
Once again, this is more of an inter family squabble than any direct conversation of how much they care about fans.

Could Noel not at least be skyped in?
Sadly Noel couldn't be with us tonight, "because he hasn't found the time"...

Liam splits with his band, goes into hiatus for two years, doing nothing but randomly insulting Noel on twitter in the most childish ways possible. Meanwhile Noel, in the same time, puts out an amazing album and tours for one and a half years with it. And at the end of that, Noel gets flak for not appearing for the premiere? Liam is going into the public for the first time in ages, he needs the publicity for his album (because let's be honest, it's hard to believe it will sell thanks to quality alone) while Noel doesn't. The Gallaghers will score headlines anyway and Noel's not interested in a thousand more reunion questions... And with ppl getting upset with Noel not doing any press to promote the film or possibly not attending the premier. Noel not turning up is one thing, but to say his did nothing to promote? I call that bullshit. Over the past years he has done everything that promotes the glory of Oasis. He mentioned it in interviews. People asked him about Oasis and he answered every question. He told stories. He played the classics. And during the time Liam messed up his life and went off the grid, Noel was the only person who was keeping Oasis relevant (even though by giving excessive interviews up to the point a lot of fans got bored). However, what I want to say is that what Noel has done to promote Oasis is far more than what Liam could give in his one day QnA (looking forward to that) or from his helicopter. So I have no problem at all for Noel staying away from the press for a while. It's time to let Liam do some work and it will be good for Liam to get all the attention, too. He's gonna need it.

Frankly... who cares?
It's the doc I'm looking forward to, not whoever will take a stroll on the red carpet at the premiere.

I think its more the idea that this film is about his band so it would make sense that he would want to be there, its like having a huge movie launch and the lead actor says "nah cant be bothered", its abit out there, its pretty arrogant, but then thats fucking awesome and sums up oasis pretty well so whatever.

Some actors not only don't attend premieres, they've never watched their own films (any of them. Robert de niro rarely attends premieres or watches his own films).

Noel has nothing to prove in case of Oasis. It was his band, he wrote all the songs. He can do whatever he wishes to do with this film premiere.

He doesn't need to be there. But it isn't strange that people want to know why he won't be there.

What is the point in him being there? What benefit would it serve? None. He will just be there and will perhaps do an interview (Probably about a reunion or about the fact that Liam is there). It won't add to the documentary nor will it benefit sales. It is just people looking for a problem FFS.
Added to this: Liam will (obviously) be there. Noel being there too will simply open a massive can of worms. Liam would probably gatecrash one of his interviews or something else and it would all be massively awkward. Nah, it's better this way

Not at all what I was saying... I know that. I was just asking a question. You know full well what the intention was behind your post. I am not attacking Liam here - I am just saying that why should anyone care whether either of them go? They're middle aged men, let's all just get over it

Noel doesn't need to be there, but it's not strange that people want to know why, since he is in a documentary about a band where he was in and wrote all the songs for in that period.

Without looking back I don't think up to this point anyone said 'why would noel bother going' 'surely noel should be working on his album on a Sunday evening than going to this' Everyone assumed he'd be there? This isn't just an average documentary this is one coming from the people being Amy and Senna etc going across 1/2 the world. This 'should' be a gold stamp on oasis' greatest era. (Which of course we know noel / Mgt actually pushed to get made) Also the well x actor doesn't do premiers, well this isn't a film it's his life / celebrating how he's got to the point he is now (and guess will show 1/2 the songs his current set list consists of for the 'needs to distance himself for his HFB career reasons') So yeah is a strange discussion not to show his face (or the other part of what Liam tweeted not even do press ((so takes away the whole well Liam would just make a scene)) which think that view within itself is way of the mark. Obv he must have his reason and won't spoil anything about the film but is strange

Yeah but what I (and probably anyone else who agrees with me) am saying is that Noel probably can't be arsed with the bullshit surrounding it. If he goes it will DOMINATE the news around the documentary. Any negative interaction will be scrutinised. Noel is nearly 50 - he probably (quite rightly) can't be arsed with it all.
