Plus Liam likes the Damned! How fucking cool is that! Post punk was the first music I got into after Oasis and I've seen the Damned live a few times. My second girlfriend's mum used to work in a London bar, served him and dated him for a while in the early 70's, apparently Dave Vanian is a massive fucking controlling, angry wanker, but so is Liam so it's cool.

Let me try a stab at interpretation: Tweet 1 + 2: "Sex Pistols" and "Steve Jones" - as we all know, Steve Jones was in the Sex Pistols. Steve Jones also have a popular radio program in the LA area. Perhaps someone mentioned it to him - for whatever reason, Steve Jones was on his mind. Tweet 3: "I'm in la spreading the filth give us a nod you old spunker" - the Sex Pistols documentary is "The Filth and the Fury". Clearly Steve is still on his mind. Perhaps he thinks he's tweeting Steve directly and asking to meet up or get an interview on the radio show. Tweet 4: "New rose the damned get that firm your neck you bunch of squares" New Rose is a song by The Damned. Guess he heard it. Guess no one around him appreciated it as much as him. Tweet 5: "The boys living in the city you shit bags" - Living In The City is a 1977 song by The Boys. Clearly he heard it, and once again was disgusted that others did not appreciate it. Reply: "Don't be greedy soul chill you're tone tit job" - reply to guy asking for musig. Telling him to chill and not be greedy. The You're tone tit job - well, that's just gibberish. Or he meant to type an insult ie you're one tit job. Which doesn't make much sense either. Tweet 6: "Who knows ME las" He is speaking to the squares and shitbags that did not appreciate the other songs, asking if any of them know who he is. The las might be the band the Las or the city Los Angeles. Re: tweet 6 .. The la's have a song called who knows so guessing that song was played too Liam picked it out as his favourite La's song in Q magazine a couple of years ago. |
