On the new Brits CD, gutted you can't buy the song separately on iTunes and it is not available on Apple Music.

I actually thought TMOS was the best performance that night. Even DLBIA sounded a little shaky and not as smooth as usual. I've not listened to this in a long time even though it was a high profile performance (probably their most high profile performance since the late 90s?) and I'm always disappointed they didn't sound great.
Thanks for the info though!

Always loved Cigarettes & Alcohol from that show, comfortably the best performance of that era. A song that suits Liam's angry singing.

Good to see them get some recognition perhaps hinting at noel performing in the supergroup. I dont think his vocals are good at the brits but there has been much worse e.g. buenos aires 2006. think there is still the power in his voice the is synonymous with liam. I think gam andy noel and was it chris at the time played really well

you could tell even then Liam was struggling with his vocals such a shame yea he was struggling but even so he sounded fine mostly imo, MG and RNRS were ok, at least he still had the power behind his vocals there and was holding the notes longer, he sounded much worse for the majority of the DOYS tour, Id of been happy with his brits vocals at the electric proms etc in 08. as Ive said before if Noel did kick off about his voice at brits, he couldnt of been happy with the DOYS tour, and it wouldnt surprise me if that played a part in his leaving (if only in a small way) because he even said he didnt want people saying "you shouldve seen them back then" and to be fair they were already way past that, Liam was the guy that had to bring those songs to life and he was proper burnt out.

Just re-watched their set on Youtube. What were they thinking playing The Meaning of Soul to a greatest hits audience.

Yeah, I remember it was the song for the promo for the 05/06 season.

I remember being pissed off that ITV kept cutting the fucking sound and only played 3 of the songs live on tv.
Came at the wrong sort of time for Oasis. Even 2008 DOYS time would have been better to perform.

Even 2008 DOYS time would have been better to perform. Agree that ITV were rubbish broadcasters but that's nothing new for them in fairness- give them any music, sporting or other major interest event and they will prove their knack of cutting to adverts during crucial moments, broadcasting the uninteresting parts or messing up the sound. It will be interesting to see if anything improves in their programming output if they are taken over this year by one of the US networks as the rumour mill keeps going. Genuinely curious though what makes you say the 2008 era Oasis would have been better for it?

And Liam sounded alot better (especially at the start) in 2008.

Yeah, I remember it was the song for the promo for the 05/06 season. It's also a great little firecracker live. If I were a casual fan watching, I'd definitely want to know this band's albums better. But each to their own. Just know I will never talk bad about TMOS
