Most of my favourite stuff involves the commentary, really. What you're seeing becomes a lot more entertaining with Liam, Noel, Andy and Gem putting in their two cents. The vitamin injection sequence is great in this regard; Noel slates everyone else in the band.
Also, when meeting Charlotte Church's mate: "Look at this fucking cabbage, here."
I also really love the moment with Gem and Andy playing the small instruments (are they mandolins?) in the Tokyo guitar shop. Noel takes the piss for it but they sound great! Proper talented musicians, those two.
Absolute fave though: getting to hear a new Noel composition take shape (the "if there's a god" one) whilst Liam and pals skive the soundcheck to fuck about on a speedboat.

My favourite scene has to be the one in the hotel in Japan.
It's obvious several drinks have been consumed and Liam is noticeably slurring his words.
He's not happy because Noel's agreed to do a big interview for the NME and they've slagged the album off.
I can't remember much of it off hand but I love this little exhange.
Liam: "I sell your records, I buy you a house in the country. End of. Shut the fuck up."
Noel: "What do you mean, 'End of. Shut the fuck up'?"
Best bit of the entire film.

Noel's really nice to those two little lads and their dads that come in and meet him - I think the wee boy is pretty smart too asking Noel what he's been up to LOL
I love the interview with Noel that is an extra. I think it's one of his best.
Does anyone know if there are any 'hidden' bits???
Oh and another thing. At Hampden I wish I'd looked up to my left when we came in across the pitch, cos Noel was sitting in a seat watching everything. Damn!

Isn't that why it was Nicole who asked if she could bring some people in and then Noel was like "hey James what's goin on what man" and gave him a hug? I could be wrong, but that's what I picked up from it I don't think it's James (who by the way isn't Liam's son, he's Jim Kerr's) but I could be wrong. I think he's just the son of some record executive or someone (the bloke who comes in with them). That is a good line from the little kid though, it has to be said. |
