Very surprised Noel's playing this. Unlike some others I don't think he's big enough to headline Glastonbury or anything but didn't expect him to play smaller festivals like this. Pretty cheap and generally a decent lineup for anyone who fancies it.

This probably means he's not playing Reading / Leeds.

Has Noel played Glastonbury with HFB yet?

Has Noel played Glastonbury with HFB yet? Nope. Doubt he will until he realises he won't headline it as anytime he mentions playing it it's as a headliner. Wasn't expecting him to be at Reading & Leeds either, subbing someone like The Stone Roses at V seems more likely.

Its only a 45 minute walk from my house so it's always a good festival for me! The lineups of late have been shocking though!

One thing worth mentioning is that the headliners only got an hour last year so it probably won't be the normal full set but for £25-35 and some other good bands on there it's still great value.

Changed the thread title so all the festivals Noel is playing can be in here.
Still find it slightly odd that going by last year and this year he'd rather headline medium sized festivals than play second from top at major festivals but fair enough.

Maybe he'll play before one headliner at Glasto and the deal requests to do not play any other big festival that summer, I don't know.

We went to Kendal Calling for the 1st time last year. It was a great weekend. The Super Furry Animals, James and Elbow were just some highlights. Then booked up straight away for this year! Glad we did!! They have surpassed my expectations with the line up. I'm getting to see the chief unexpectedly!

I am stunned over the volume of gigs Noel is doing this summer both in America and the U.K. Especially with zero new material out.

Perhaps this is a good sign he's going to suddenly drop a new album. Or perhaps it's a sign he's milking Chasing Yesterday to the extreme before taking an extended break.

Catfish and the Battlement are playing. Is that poor journalism or are they a tribute band?

Catfish and the Battlement are playing. Is that poor journalism or are they a tribute band? The NME will be right there at the front for Noel's set, screaming along to every word: "I WOKE UP STINKING ON A TRAIN BOUND TO NORWAY." They're big fans. It'll be emosh.

Really not a fan of Artists/Bands doing two festival seasons. Get a bit bored hearing the same stuff over and over. I Massively went off Arctic Monkeys for playing all the major festivals in the UK in one year.
Lets hope for some new material (not that will happen before 2017).

Noels added 'Festival Number 6' to the tour schedule. Welsh festival.
4th September - extending the tour slightly.

Fourth time he's played Glasgow on this tour as well as obviously headlining TITP. Can't see this selling out quickly, if at all, but if there's decent supports and hopefully cheap tickets nearer the time I might go.
