Was wandering if the Till Lindemann story is actually much covered in the UK? It's obviously pretty big news here in Germany. It's pretty big news in the Netherlands too. It's a shame, I quite like Rammstein and Till seemed like a decent guy. Makes you wonder how many creeps in the music bizz there actually are, who we don't know about. |

First album in ten years and sees the return of Kjartan Sveinsson who left in 2012. Breathtaking as always. There's no other bands who can make such beautiful pieces of music, but Sigur Ros. I was going to see them this weekend, performing with London Symphney Orchestra, but due to the circumstances, I had to sell my tickets. Really looking forward to this new album. |

Rammstein: Who would have thought that the guy writing rapey poems could be such a creep 🚬 Likely hundreds more we don't know about as well. There's quite a lot of stuff about popular artists from the 50's-70's like Elivs that nobody talks about for some reason as well. Trouble is there are a lot of creepy fuckers out there and some of them have found their way to the music industry and when you're rich and famous you think and sadly absolutely can do almost anything you want and most of the time the general public will let them because they're so star struck and overwhelmed at getting to interact with one of their hero's or someone they idolize. Don't get me wrong I don't blame anyone but the creepy celebrities themselves or anyone who assists them but at some point people are going to have to stop idolizing and worshiping famous people so much to the point they so often get away with things like this. I have so much respect for the girl on the BBC article who was groomed, she obviously loves the band but had the self-respect, courage and integrity to realize that the whole situation was disgusting and told him no which must have been difficult in such a compromised and sketchy situation. Obviously many of his and others victims are going to be intoxicated or too star struck to really have full perspective so like I said I don't attach the slightest bit of blame to anyone but the more of us who react like that girl the better because it'll stop all the fucking weirdo's from trying this shit, exploiting people's admiration and getting away with it. That guy is what like 60-ish? He's probably been pulling this shit for 40 years and it's only just now that people have outed him. That's a long time to cause a lot of harm to a lot of people. Something about Rammstein lyrics makes sense but I can't put my finger on now Lynn came out.... Also I have been creeped out by Till since the Sonne video so nothing new. |

New Hives album in August - The Death of Randy Fitzimmonds.
I’m excited for it. It doesn’t include the couple singles from the last few years “I’m alive” and “Good Samaritan” (which might be my number 1 Hives song…truly blown away by it) but has 12 others. I’d love to have those on the album but let’s see how it turns out.

The new QOTSA album is the first in their carreer that isn't better than ok. Sad to see the streak ending, but it was a pretty damn good run!

I finally got round to listen to the new National album. To me this one has the same atmosphere as Boxer. I love 2 songs with Phoebe Bridgers and Sufjan Stevens. "Carrie & Lowell" by Stevens is such a marvouls album. My favourite songs so far are: Once Upon A Poolside This isn't Helping Tropic Morning News (co-written by Matt's wife Karen) Your Mind is Not Your Friend Lennon2217, what's your thoughts? |

Just payed a stupid amount of money to see The Who live and it was mesmerizing to see how the band connects on stage. There were some technical problems but they managed to work through it. Pete took the lead as always. Pure magic to see one of my musical heroes up close.
