I've been re-listening to BE today.
I think Soon Come Tomorrow is my all time favourite Beady Eye song as well as my favourite on BE.
It's close between that and The Morning Son.
Also Off At The Next Exit sounds so sad/emotional... don't think Liam's voice sounded like THAT since maybe DGA on BHN.
I saw the Bowie 5 Years documentary last night.
My 1 wish for the future of music is that Liam finds a great songwriter to help him work on some new songs.
The story is far from over as far as I am concerned, BE was just another touchstone.

Off At the Next Exit vocal is unbelievable. Because I get the fear / the more I get you near / The more you fade away I'd rate it up there with any of Lennon's solo work any day of the week.

were those extra tracks recorded seperately from the rest of the album? Liams vocal to me is generally better across those 3/4 tracks than on the main record.

To me, Soon Come Toworrow is (one of) the worst Beady Eye songs.

To me, Soon Come Toworrow is (one of) the worst Beady Eye songs. It took me a couple of listens to be honest but now I really dig it, it's got a... groove.

nothing beats start anew, that wouldve been an amazing oasis song with maybe abit of Noels magic touch of melody on it, its a great song that builds nicely and has some nice lyrics, had it had the live versions guitar solo at the end and abit less repetition it wouldve been even better.

Why does liam sing yewe instead of YOU on that track, annoys me to be honest.

Yeah yeah yeah. Yes. Come on take a chance, start a new, me and: Yeww! Or (apologies to the welsh diaspora) maybe Liam is singing, "me and ewe"? Eww!

I love Soon Come Tomorrow. It's got great lyrics, a pretty consistent melody and probably the best guitar solo Andy did on any Oasis-related project. My fav on BE (along with FOTF) since the very first time I heard it.

I think the only song on BE I never really got was iz rite, I remember around the time they played it on alan carr I started to like it but it didnt last long, it reminds me of sunday morning call slightly because the chorus is abit dreary and it doesnt really go anywhere overall.

Great song, though the lyrics are pretty cringey. Still should've been a single.

Has cool ideas but the lyrics are horrendous and cheesy. Come on Andy! Is that all you got?

I think Soon Come Tomorrow is one of those songs that on "leak night" you think fucking hell this is better than anything since Whats the Story! Then a couple of years down the line it doesn't really age well, in the same way some of DGSS hasnt.
Off At The Next Exit and Back After the Break are too good not to be on BE. Evil Eye is too but that was clearly left off because its way too Lennon-esque and stuck in that DGSS vibe.
Sometimes you just look back and think who the fuck listened to Standing On The Edge Of the Noize and thought it would be better than In the Bubble With a Bullet or Don't Brother Me over the songs above. With Oasis it kind of makes them even more special for fans getting into this huge band to find songs like Acquiesce and Talk Tonight are hidden away on b-sides, but with Beady Eye we are talking about songs that were fucking great and desperately needed, while people who dismiss them will never hear just how good these lads were at times without Noely G.

~ Andy Bell, 2013 Apart from this bit, the lyrics aren't really very good but they work. Not cringeworthy IMO but not great either. That said, I love this song. It's got a great haunting feel and the Hendrix like solo burns out beautifully towards the end. One of my fav Beady Eye songs. I like the 42.42 version too but album version has that solo so it wins.

Definitely one of the better Beady Eye songs.
While listening to it today I thought it'd be cool if they played on final gig and played this last, changing the lyrics to "this band is over, so look past the end, soon come tomorrow again", and this acting as the official announcement of the split, rather than being a pussy and doing it over twitter.
"Nothing remains of the plans that we made, only a parallel future to face"
It would of been cool right?!

Soon Come Tomorrow is definitely one of my favourites.
I think the problem with Beady Eye was that they fell between two stools in terms of radio play.
Too old and rock-oriented to get Radio 1 play and (unlike Noel) not mainstream enough for Radio 2.
Personally I rate Iz Rite and think that could actually have done quite well if they'd have brought it out first as a summery pop tune with a decent video.

It's got some very crappy lyrics but I've always loved the mood of it.
It was one of my favorite tracks from BE at the time and it still is.
