Cast No Shadow, innit. The performance at both Maine Road and Knebworth were foookin' mega.

Wonderwall, and honestly it's not even close. I LOVE Cast No Shadow. But the songwriting quality of Wonderwall is simply better. The arrangements are better, the lyrics are better, it's one of Liam's best vocals. It's Liam's perfect vocal in conjunction with Noel's perfect melody. It is so expertly crafted, from the progression to the ending piano coda, it is the perfectly performed and written pop song. Back in the day, Noel could have busted out another Cast No Shadow, no sweat. But he only wrote one Wonderwall. Contained, yet sprawling. Intimate, yet reserved. Forward, yet layered. Rich in complexity, yet simple. As said above, comparing Wonderwall to Cast No Shadow is like comparing Live Forever to Up in the Sky. One is songwriting expert class, the other is a great album track, but nothing more. Wonderwall is transcendent. Wonderwall being Wonderwall, and having that stigma attached to it means the poll is closer than it should be imo! Logically Wonderwall is quite clearly the stronger song.

Should've won by a bigger margin tbh.

Cast No Shadow isn't that loved though.
In the best to worst MG tracks thread, a lot of people had it near the bottom of their lists.
