Yeah, my brother watches it. The first time I noticed, though, I just felt devilish that he was actually listening to a band I like but he had no idea about it, and that he liked the music and I didn't tell him where they came from

I don't feel like rewriting it so TL;DR version: You should totally watch Elementary, I love it. Obviously, since I'm watching it for the third time and still enjoying it. And I love it even more now that I've heard BDI on it too!

You know "Mr Robot", right? I kind of liked it. Stopped on episode 5 and am always forgetting to keep watching. I mean, I saw tons of really good series, BUT I ALWAYS FORGET TO WATCH IT 'TIL THE END. This sums up what happens

Beady Eye quit just before they got interesting. It was something like "hey, this album is actually ni--- FUCK, THEY SPLIT. ...AGAIN."

Does anyone think Beady Eyes music will be completely forgotten over time, or in a few years become more appreciated and kind of rediscovered?

Does anyone think Beady Eyes music will be completely forgotten over time, or in a few years become more appreciated and kind of rediscovered? Almost certainly forgotten by everyone except die-hard fans, which are few anyhow.

Does anyone think Beady Eyes music will be completely forgotten over time, or in a few years become more appreciated and kind of rediscovered? I don't think their music will be completed forgotten about as Oasis fans will always be interested to know what songs Liam Gallagher has sang on. Look at Scorpio Rising as an example, 14 years after release people still talk about the song and I'd argue there are quite a few Beady Eye songs which are better than it. If a future fan hears Four Letter Word or Flick Of The Finger on YouTube while listing to an Oasis playlist and either pop up they will more than likely look up the rest of the Beady Eye discography.

Beady Eye quit just before they got interesting. case of too little too late really, Ive said all along that you compare BE with HFB 1 theres not really a huge gap there like there is with DGSS and HFB 1, people had already decided they were shit by the time BE dropped. plus it doesnt help that BE was hardly promoted, it was a quiet release, it got to number 2 but was basically off the charts completely by about the 3rd week. beady eye were getting interesting but they shouldve been doing what they were doing in 2013 right from day 1.

BE gets far too much love for what it is. There are only a few tunes on there that are worth it.

Still not the greatest thing since sliced bread, but it was a step in the right direction. Even if too late for the bands legacy.

I think they did a great version of Gimme Shelter, loved it at the gigs I went to. Read some critisism on Liams voice but I think it sounds really powerful here.

Yeah, well, their cover is too close to the original for my liking. I prefer when bands reinterpret the song in their own way - one of the best examples being Coltrane's "My favorite things" where he took the original song to a completely new dimension, but artists needn't go that far as long as they bring something new & different to a song we already know.

never really understood the logic in putting wigwam, kill for a dream and morning son all on the same album, kill for a dream and morning son are mostly the same boring track, having 3 longer tunes like they are with no big choruses to make them stand out from one another is abit too much and too boring.
wigwam fills the slot for a longer tune just fine on its own and is actually worth listening to, has a nice build and ending, bin off the other two, not needed, put on in a bubble with a bullet and the cover of sons of the stage instead.

Is this really the only thing you find hard to believe about this release? true true. Very poor debut album mostly all round from my view, hasnt stood up well. I was listening to the album the other day and thought even tunes like the roller and four letter word could be so much better without the awful 60s heathen chemistry styled mess that was the production. think FLW and the roller with a sitek production couldve been cool AF, I mean look at what they turned bring the light into on the BE tour, much more interesting listen, least brought it up to date slightly. Id certainly of given FLW a flick styled brass section behind it.

I'm surprised you don't like The Morning Son. I think its one of the better songs Beady Eye released. I always think it could have been brilliant as the closer on DOYS instead of Soldier On.

This might be a very unpopular opinion but to me The Morning Son is one of the dullest songs they've done. It's clichéd, it plods along for six endless minutes and I've always found the son/sun thing to be pretty cringe-worthy.
I'd rather have a shitty but uplifting throwaway rocker like Beatles and Stones, and that's saying a lot.

I think that many Beady Eye songs were much better if they were recorded with Oasis and Noel's input.
