Liam should have had him play at the DM, would have been a very nice gesture You never know, they might play the songs through the years amd bring different members on? Of all the things that might happen Tony McCarroll is the very last thing that might. The fact he has never played at a Liam gig speaks volumes. It’ll never happen. 100% what I was going to say. If Tony was going to make an appearance it wouldve been a Liam solo gig. We know hes still not on speaking terms with Noel. The fact he hasnt made an Oasis-linked gig appearance since 1995 pretty much guarantees he wont show up at any of their future gigs.

Id love to see him make an appearance even if its at a gig that im not at, but i wouldnt expect it.

But he absolutely will never be on stage with oasis ever.

Not sure where to post this as I wasn't sure it was worth its own post in the bootleg section but I went through an old hard drive and found around 8GB of Oasis bootlegs (almost all sourced from this forum many years ago). Probably mostly well-known and heard and unfortunately not the best quality but here's the list if anyone is interested: imgur.com/a/pCNbiLzMods please move this if its the wrong thread. Happy days now that the big O is finally back!

Drove into London today, saw the Wembley Stadium Arch in the distance this morning.
All likelyhood the next time I see that Arch I'll be walking up Wembley way for the fist night in London.

16 years ago today Oasis released their final album Dig Out Your Soul. 16 years since Oasis’ last album, Dig Out Your Soul, which is a great album bar a few songs in the second half of the album. Noel had the tunes but sabotaged the track listing, due to the difficulties of the band at the time. Dig Out Your Soul had the real potential. As it stands, it is still very strong album.

I listened fully to DOYS today. Still love it.
Addressing the weaknesses….
My point bringing it up is that AGN is alright (obviously there were still better choices) and has an interesting guitar instrumental break in the middle. High Horse Lady is a good album track that serves its purpose. Same with Soldier On as it fits the apocalyptic narrative of the album and the behind the scenes of a band in turmoil. TBWTL would have been great if it were recorded as it is done live, or the remix.
There were all better choices for these tracks, as we all know. But I can make a cogent argument that these four aren’t as bad as they seem.
The only song I can’t stand is TNOR. Sloppy, sophomoric pseudo philosophical lyrics with pretty sloppy Liam vocals. Ugh.
Final verdict: It’s a good, strong album which had the potential of being a great album.

Just put 'My Big Mouth' on low, as background noise while doing something else, and heard (I think for the first time) the kick drum beats in the intro, eight to a bar. Pretty cool.
It's funny: despite the fact it was mixed at high volume, the Be Here Now-era stuff only really sounds good at low volume. You can actually hear different frequency ranges then, and all the competing guitar parts Noel recorded. There's some clarity to the mixes for once. But turn it up to where you'd want to have it for everyday listening, and all that crunchy, hissy, awful noise intrudes in and makes it near-unlistenable again.
Man, I hope for a remix of this baby for its 30th...

After listening to DOYS in full yesterday, you won’t believe what song is currently stuck in my head for the first time ever…. TNOR. 🤦🏻♂️
Oasis, you’ve only just done it again.

I gotta say I’m enjoying the daily Gallagher thirst traps thanks to the zoomers on twitter. These kids are doing the lords work.

Never understood why you disliked that song so much, I've always loved the riff It is Andy B*ll trying to be Rock n Roll, when in fact he is a middle class art student. The song is an insult to Supersonic, Rock n Roll Star, Headshrinker, Columbia and all the rest. But DM me and I will tell you what I really think

Dig out your soul is perfect as it is. Sure there were songs that could or should have been on it but I love it like it is. The whole thing has a vibe that no other oasis album had and that makes it my favourite. It has a bit of darkness, its rough, it is playful and I like songs like "get of you high horse lady" cause they just broadened Oasis sound.
