Yeah it's great he's doing different songs in the 'HFB era' but other than that it's the same acoustic songs we heard 9 years ago on the STC tour.
Just one different or unheard song is all we ask Noel..

Just one different or unheard song is all we ask Noel.. yea Im not gonna lie, Im getting a real good feeling listening to those videos, been waiting for another Noel / Gem acoustic show for a while and they really bring home the magic in songs, especially since we havnt heard some for a while. was hoping for dont go away but even if he did play that, its still another song he only played 5 years ago, theres so many oasis songs, wouldnt hurt to throw in lets all make believe or something.

I knew this acoustic stuff was just an excuse to play with Gem again.
The setlist is pretty much what we all expected, but the RAH gig is going to be awesome. So many classics being played.

Really happy to see D'Yer Wanna Be a Spaceman and Sad Song in there and Cast No Shadow and Listen Up are always great for gigs like this. Very surprised to see only 3 HFB songs!!
Don't Go Away would have fit perfectly in that set too, as would Angel Child. So lots of like about it.
However, I also see what many are saying: its essentially the same STC/TCT setlist. I think he must be doing IGTBF on purpose, just for us.

so have they recorded it? or at least some highlights?
I thought the whole point of a gig like this was broadcast it on the radio station as its happening?

Noel sounds amazing! Is that the brass section on Slide Away? It sounds beautiful.

Listen Up sounds really good. Bizarre it's an audience recording in England and you can't hear anyone singing along.
Slight regret that I haven't tried to get tickets for the London gig more.
I imagine it's a similar set to 2006 because they probably didn't have that much rehearsal time.
Also - I guess if you're Noel, are you really going to rehearse an entire new set list that's going to be used for what, 3 gigs?

Slide Away... woah. That might just be one of the best performances of that song, ever.

The songs sound great. Also, it's so good to see Gem out and about again! Tim Smith, beware.

Slide Away... woah. That might just be one of the best performances of that song, ever. Nope. lol Love this version though. It's more fierce yet laid back and cool. Noel's HFB vocals sound really good on it as well. Was that Gem doing the guitar solo? Edit: Thought you said it is THE best performance of the song, but yeah I agree its one of the best versions played in recent memory.

But yea, I believe that is Gem doing the solo. He really nailed it down well, which makes me interested in hearing the performance of DLBIA. He always seemed to capture the perfect amount of emotion for the solo to carry it along to the final run of the chorus. Now, as for the rest of the band, is that Russell Pritchard on bass, and Tony Kirkbride on drums? If so, they make a great band, and should be the live HFBs next time around. The backing vocals on some of those songs was awesome.

Wow so impressive and his voice improved so much! This Lincoln Theater gig is almost a pocket-size Maine Road.
