I was on my way to the gym when I read the tweet and if I'm being honest, I initially felt nothing. Me neither, and I still don't, tbh. I was in the car, took a look at Twitter and just went "oh". I imagine that had I been around on here when Oasis split, my reaction would have been different Well...as soon as I heard about the split in august of 2009, I took a shower and cried my little heart out. You could kinda see it coming tbh - second album had more or less bombed commercially, bad luck with the tour...the band generally lacked the success (and the quality, mostly) it wanted from minute one. I was somewhat surprised when it happened, but it didn't shock me. At the time, with CY announced (or about to be?), there were more interesting things on the horizon. Of course now, another year further away from BE, the lack of new music from Liam is getting much worse.

I think I might have said this before, but I think the longer it goes on and the more successful Liam is with his non-music ventures such as Pretty Green he may well quietly drop out of music altogether bar Oasis reissues and such events. I don't know if this would be for the best performance wise given the sharp decline in his vocal prowess, but it would be a tragic end to the musical career of one of the most iconic front men ever to come out of British Rock N' Roll.
