politics aside for a minute.... something is going on with hillary. every time i see her she's wearing outfits as big as a tent. holding on to railings to keep her balance. she doesn't look well. this concerns me because it's looking more and more like she is going to be our next president. Worryingly prescient @id1edreamer. But it's a case of whether you want a President whose physical health isn't what it should be, or a President whose mental health is not what it should be. I know which one I'd rather opt for. so you're comfortable with having this person as the president of the united states? really? sorry, but not me. this video scares the living shit out of me. again, this is putting politics aside here. i agree with wingsofspeed, biden should step in now.

i agree with wingsofspeed, biden should step in now. I'm not sure you meant me, as it was batfink30 who mentioned Biden. Do I agree with that ... um, there was talk during the primary that higher ups at the DNC wanted to nominate him if Hillary was indicted, snubbing Bernie Sanders altogether. Not the right thing to do, but if they did it now, I wouldn't be too upset. I might even be convinced to drop Jill Stein for him. But that's probably what they would do and it's loopy that the go-to guy would be someone who had declined to even run.

First off, I would rather have anyone but Trump. Second, walking pneumonia is not a chronic condition, and the explanation of dehydration due to overexertion with the condition matches up to me. I find it stupid in this day and age that she needed to attend while having this condition in an attempt to stave off a controversy. People get sick, yes even presidential candidates. In 5 months, I do not want someone with the personality and characteristics of Donald Trump as commander in chief. Update: Didn't read the second part of your post. At this point I don't think that the candidate can change.

I agree with everything you've said here - in an ideal world, yeah Biden would be cool, but a preference for Hillary is due to the fact they cannot change candidacy now. And besides, like I said, JFK and FDR both had serious health problems, and nobody can say some right wing nutjob would have been preferable over those two. If you think otherwise, then god help you.

Whoa! When I refer to 'you' I'm referring to the general unspecific term of the word. Apologies for the confusion - I'm responding in general to the complaints and articles you read about her health. Besides, if Clinton couldn't stand in 80 degree heat, it's still better than FDR who couldn't even stand!

Lord have mercy on David Duke. Why would my 63 year old aunt rape my 67 year old uncle exactly? He's white, she's hispanic/Indian.

I find it beyond hilarious that in a year when the most un-electable candidate in history (Trump) is running, that the only person who could possibly allow him to win is also running. Reminds me of this...

Ummm, what I would say is that if you look at the LA Times previous polls, they have shown a clear bias toward Trump. Even in the heyday of Clinton, which other polling firms have shown, they have consistently shown a Trump lead. I wouldn't put too much stock in this poll. It's a clear outlier from other polling.

I vehemently disagree. I apologize if this comes off as terse.....but John McCain could barely raise his arms above his neck. That man nearly won the presidency. JFK could barely walk. FDR couldn't walk. Ronald Reagan was 79 when he left office and most likely suffering from dementia. Woodrow Wilson suffered a stroke in office, was mostly paralyzed, and still kept office. There's this age old human tradition of having a "strong" leader. However, understand, you're voting for someone in their 60's. Joe Biden is 73 years old. 73. Clinton is ACTUALLY younger than Biden at 69. Sanders who everyone here was going gaga over is 75. huh? So a woman who has always worn suit pants in her career is now wearing more baggy clothes (Mind you, she wore baggy clothes as Secretary of State too). Ummm, okay? Once again, a person got sick. If Obama had gotten pnuemonia, would that have made you make him step down...or someone else step in? People get sick. And it shouldn't have taken her releasing information that honestly, did not need to be released. If she gets the flu, does she have to report that too? Plain fact of the matter is that presidents become sick and sometimes gravely ill far more times than we ever realize. However, it is often hidden because they know that voters will question whether they should be president. Lastly, the idea of someone stepping in is quite frankly laughable. Yea, there are plenty of qualified people. But that ignores the structure that is required to run for president. Are these people likable? Can they raise enough money in a short span of time? Are they good at debating? Do they have a strong hold of the issues? Remember, Clinton and Trump have been getting National Security briefings, so a new candidate would have to play catch-up with that too. Do they have a campaign team put together (a national campaign team, which is a different beast from a primary team)? Do they have a sufficient voter database? Do they have a nation wide network set-up for a ground campaign to get out the vote? When can they begin to run political ads? How long will it take to gain name recognition? Are they too liberal for the base? Are they too conservative? Do they align with the current President's views? Do they have a strong background? How much will they have to be vetted, ie do they have skeletons in their closet we don't know about (because you can hide many things in your life when you're not running for president)? This is ONLY a small list that a candidate stepping in would have to think of. To think a major party could/would step down this late in the game and someone viable could replace them ignores reality.

I mean that seriously, with all that he's said and you being part of humanity, what that he proposes could possibly make you want him as president? ----- I can't speak for Beady’s Here Now, so here are my random thoughts this morning... I personally don't care for either of the major party candidates this time round. Neither one inspires a lot of confidence moving forward. If Hilary wins, then we get more of the same. Nothing will change except the name of the person holding the office. Can't say that I much look forward to it. But it could always be worse. If Trump wins... who knows what we get. I will say this though, at least Trump makes people actually think about what matters to them. I think the guy is a buffoon, but he does force people to evaluate themselves and where they stand. Odds are he would delegate to others the vast majority of his duties as President and becomes more of a figure head than anything else. Either way, I don't think that we will see as much "change" as everyone is hyping right now. For the vast majority of people living in the USA currently, their lives will not change at all.

I seriously can't believe the first debate is just 2 days away (Monday). That's come up quickly!
I hope it doesn't disappoint - although the hype is through the roof so it might not live up to it. We'll see.

I dunno. I don't really mind Trump winning because I fucking hate corruption (Hillary).
And not just corruption, she's a bloody warhawk.
