What songs do you think would be on their 8th album if they didn't split? Four Letter Word The Morning Son
B-side: Standing on the Edge of the Noise

I think Iz Rite would be the perfect 4th track on their 13th album after the second reunion.

My ears always start to bleed when I read "Standing on the Edge of the Noise". Ugh! Such a terrible track.
I'll pretend it's the name of that very good Oasis warm-up gig from the DOYS era and nothing else.

I think, just like last albums and holding on to the songwriting democracy:
Gem: standing on the edge of the noise (the roller was already left off a couple of albums) Liam: wigwam, for anyone, the morning son Andy: four letter word (millionaire was also already left off doys)

Four Letter Word The Roller Millionaire The Morning Son
Add in Everybody's on the Run, Dream On (Liam vox), If I Had a Gun (Liam vox), The Death of You & Me, Record Machine (Liam vox), and Stop the Clocks (Liam vox) or A Simple Game of Genius (Liam vox) and that would've been the 8th Oasis album, more than likely.

That would be a really great album! I would really love to hear dream on, stop the clocks, record machine and especially a simple game of genius with liam vocals!

I think that Andy Bell have written their best tunes after the split. The beat goes on has got a great melody and soon come tomorrow is a great piece of music in my opinion and so it's such a shame.

Four Letter Word, The Roller, Wigwam, The Morning Son, The World Outside My Room, and In the Bubble with a Bullet are all DGSS era tracks I would've been more than happy with on an Oasis album. Mix those in with Noel's best from the NGHFB album, and I reckon it would've been been the best Oasis Mark 2 album. Of course, they probably would have shelved the best ones and put fucking Windup Dream and Two of a Kind on there for some bizarre reason.

Four Letter World, In The Bubble With a Bullet, Flick of the Finger, Evil Eye.. maybe Soul Love or Shine a Light.
I think Noel would have banned most songs from DGSS and by the time they were in the studio, most of BE would've been written.

One thing I wanna note is that I think Millionaire would've probably been relegated to B-sides, if Noel wanted to go with The Beat Goes On, since that sounds very Oasis-like, but who knows? Either way, both would've been really cool to hear Oasis/NG-ified.

Expanding on what I typed earlier,
8th Album B-Sides: For Anyone Standing on the Edge of the Noise Three Ring Circus (would've been good enough to be an album track too)
(Alongside Soldier Boys and Jesus Freaks, The Good Rebel, and Broken Arrow)
9th Album: Flick of the Finger Soon Come Tomorrow Iz Rite Start Anew I'm Just Sayin' or Off at the Next Exit
(Alongside Do the Damage (Liam vox) or In the Heat of the Moment, Lock All the Doors (Liam vox), The Dying of the Light (Liam vox), The Mexican (Liam vox), You Know We Can't Go Back (Liam vox), and Ballad of the Mighty I)
9th Album B-Sides: Off at the Exit or I'm Just Sayin' Face the Crowd Shine a Light
(Alongside Do the Damage (Liam vox) or In the Heat of the Moment, Revolution Song, and Freaky Teeth)

I think Millionaire would either be relegated to B-side material or undergo lyric changes first, given that was Noels reason for dropping it off DOYS, and inexplicably replacing it with The Nature of Reality

This is not the track listing I'd like, but I'm guessing it's what they'd have gone for, based on what we know about Beady eye songs being in contention for Oasis albums, and the songs which Noel said on his reddit AMA would have been on the next album. Which seem like rubbish and bizarre choices. I'm guessing he'd have included Everybody's on the Run as well. And While I doubt he'd have put the roller on, especially as they called their rehearsal gig film standing in the edge of the noise, Gem didn't have that much else from this period, and Liam really liked the song. I can see them putting out loads of old songs, so why not one more?
1) Everybody's On the Run 2) Four Letter Word 3) The Roller 4) (I Wanna Live In A Dream In My) Record Machine 5) For Anyone 6) Dream On 7) Stranded on the Wrong Beach 8) Wigwam 9) Stop the Clocks 10) The Morning Son
Poor choices from Noel, I was disappointed to hear him say that

Oasis post DOYS album with BDI 1 and NGHB 1
1. Everybody' on the Run 2. Dream On 3. The Death of You and Me 4. If I Had a Gun 5. Four Letter Word 6. AKA... What a Life! 7. World Outside My Room 8. The Roller 9. AKA... Broken Arrow 10. (Stranded On) The Wrong Beach 11. The Morning Son
BDI didn't stand a chance. NGHFB songs are far better on their first effort.
However, Oasis album with BDI 2 and NGHFB 2
1. Flick of the Finger 2. Riverman 3. The Girl with X-Ray Eyes 4. Soul Love 5. Iz Rite 6. Back After the Break 7. Evil Eye 8. Ballroom Figured 9. The Right Stuff 10. While the Song Remains the Same 11. You Know We Cant Go Back
Kinda excited by this record TBH, could have been huge, and much more BDI stuff.

With that said, I think the album would've looked more like this then: 1. Four Letter Word 2. Everybody's on the Run* 3. Dream On 4. If I Had a Gun 5. The Death of You & Me* 6. (I Wanna Live in a Dream in My) Record Machine 7. The Roller 8. Stranded on the Wrong Beach 9. Stop the Clocks 10. The Morning Son (* means Noel-sung) ..which would make for a pretty good album imo.

BDI2 + HFB2 =
1. Flick of the Finger 2. In the Heat of the Moment* 3. Soon Come Tomorrow 4. Lock All the Doors 5. The Dying of the Light 6. Iz Rite 7. The Mexican 8. You Know We Can't Go Back 9. Ballad of the Mighty I* 10. Start Anew
(* means Noel-sung)
While the Song Remains the Same, Soul Love, The Right Stuff, and Riverman would've all been great songs to put on here, but sadly, they are songs that I could not see being Oasis songs, even though they are really really brilliant.

I'd be pretty up for that as an album. I just went by the reddit ama, where he said half of his first record, rather than the first half of his record. Which I think might be something he said elsewhere? It rings a bell, and makes inifinitely more sense.
