Viva La Vida probably. No way they have the creative capacity to resurrect Strawberry Swing. They only have about 12-15 minutes of time for songs during this halftime show. I'd bet heavy on Yellow, Viva La Vida and Hymn For The Weekend to be played plus other fragments. I still think Taylor Swift was a better choice for the Halftime show. She was born for moments like that. Pop Princess and all. Biggest album seller of the last 5 years and until Adele's 25, all of 2015 as well. I never thought I'd agree with Taylor Swift doing the Halftime show over Coldplay, but with the period that the latter is in, I agree with you. It's horrendous, and this performance (the HFTW/POC part mainly) is going to solidify them as sell-outs, which sucks because they used to be such a great band. Taylor, on the other hand, has evolved over time and released songs with a pretty consistent theme over the course of her career. She definitely deserves to headline the Halftime show, and hopefully it happens in the next year or two.

This video restored a bit of hope Lovely transition between Clocks and Fix You in there... They still sound great as a four-piece! I love that, they need to be like that more often...

That piano riff was better than anything on Ghost Stories and A Head Full of Dreams. Shows how they really need to just be a band again and get a proper producer on board.

This video restored a bit of hope Interesting behind the scenes video. Nice find. Geez.........Phil Harvey, handsome dude! So after watching this I guess they will be including Adventures of A Lifetime, and some mixture of Clocks/Fix You. Combine that with my other predictions and you get something like this: Adventures of A Lifetime Yellow Viva La Vida Hymn For The Weekend Clocks into Fix YouThat's about all the time they have for the Super Bowl halftime show. The end of this video confirms what I've long believed. Coldplay are at their BEST when it is JUST Chris, Jonny, Guy and Will. That's the only chemistry and bond they need.

Yeah, the end is great with Clocks and Fix You, they've lost their way so, so badly recently. But, the Superbowl being the highlight of their career? Oh fuck off, it's commercial bullshit where they play a few of their hits. Also, Phil Harvey "artistic director" ?!?! I thought he was an old friend who tags along. Lol.

On the HFTW music video, a lot of people are bashing Beyonce for being in it.
Good. Make them learn folks!

Just went to town to run some errands and heard 4 different Coldplay songs in 4 stores.
It's like they're everywhere!
Also, radio 2 (the Dutch one, not BBC) have named Hymn For The Weekend "Song Of The Week" I'm afraid it will do really well over here.

I was about to post in here, something along the lines of "y'all are really the only people i know who are still talking about Coldplay" but you definitely reminded me of my social surroundings. I know Coldplay are huge, regardless of their mediocre music they've still managed to have a high public profile. The fact they are playing the Superbowl is a decently big deal. They kinda tow the line between public modern relevance and music has-been-ness I've heard that new Coldplay song a few times, when ESPN is just on, but I haven't really heard them around my friends, or on the radio. I guess what I'm trying to say is, musically there really isn't really that much to talk about with regard to Coldplay, and that's coming from a fan.

You know there's something wrong with Coldplay when...........................
...........................when U2's last album sounds more like Coldplay than Coldplay's last album.

I've been hearing them more and more recently but it's all the older material. Songs like Clocks, Speed of Sound and Fix You. I haven't heard a new Coldplay song out in public in a long time. Maybe "Magic".

She would kill it at a Super Bowl. Legions and legions of fans. Legions and legions of men fawning over her (me included ). I also think the Foo Fighters will play the Super Bowl in the near future. They are an older, safer rock band the NFL won't mind running out there.

Coldplay songs I've heard in public:
Yellow Trouble Everything's Not Lost/Life Is for Living (in the weirdest possible place too! During an event at a state park!) Clocks The Scientist In My Place Fix You White Shadows (this was unexpected) Speed of Sound (quite a lot too!!) Talk What If The Hardest Part Life in Technicolor II Viva la Vida Lost! Lovers in Japan Reign of Love (didn't expect this either) Strawberry Swing Hurts Like Heaven Paradise Charlie Brown Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall Princess of China Magic A Sky Full of Stars True Love Adventure of a Lifetime
That's nearly all of their singles, and I don't even go out very often. In other words, Coldplay are fucking everywhere. I'm just glad I haven't heard Hymn for the Weekend on the radio yet, though I definitely will before I die. *puts gun to head*

They were talking about the raucous that the video has stirred over some of the Indian stereotypes that were conjured up in the video. (If you want to know, the middle finger and wanker sign came up the moment they started playing that shi- song.) This video restored a bit of hope Interesting behind the scenes video. Nice find. Unfortunately, with Rihanna coming on stage to perform, I don't think they'll be doing Yellow, but it's a nice thought. I think will work in its way onto their setlist, instead of Yellow, but I do hope I'm wrong.

Already overplayed at work (I work in retail) and just can't be bothered by it anymore. I really have had no desire to listen to anything else from the album.

Tonight at a Bonefish Grill (US chain restaurant) I heard many good tunes on the in house PA. Such as: Arcade Fire - No Cars Go Coldplay - Birds Doves - Kingdom of Rust Real Estate - Talking Backwards Tweedy - Summer Noon M. Wars - Confession Basically it was like someone stole my iPhone and put it on shuffle.
