Tickets on sale before the album is released? The cynic in me says the long time fans - aka the fans of their alternative rock albums - will feel fucked over when we inevitably dislike the new album in December. So? Noel's tickets went on sale nearly 6 months before CY came out. Oh well, with Noel at least you know you will only hear about 5 new ones live, so it's not a disaster when you dislike it Anyway, I don't give a fuck. I will buy tickets anyway, because I've been wanting to see them for years. I want to see them and I will probably get tickets but I have a feeling it will be full of material from their later stuff. Perhaps it will transfer well to a live environment though.

Probably because the songs weren't swamped weigh layers of overproduction.

Wtf is this bullshit? What was Coldplay from 1999-2009, if it wasn't a rock band?

I'll probably see them when they inevitably headline Glastonbury again so don't fancy paying what I'm guessing is £65 before fees going by the price brackets. Might just wait for an arena tour later in the year as by that time I'll probably have seen them and we'll know what the setlist is like.

SERIOUSLY WTF IS THIS? WOW. They should be ashamed of themselves. At least they look like they're having fun I just re-watched this after looking at the video of the Lovers in Japan performance on the next page, and I have to say, my gosh they've lost their souls in that 6 year span. The Lovers in Japan performance was borderline amazing, while this is, just, fucking saccharine, really.

I'm not going, but they just announced the European stadium tour 2016 including Amsterdam Arena. It was 10 years ago (and the only once) when I saw them in Gelredoom with Richard Ashcroft as support act.

I can hear a slight Noel influence in that song but it mostly just reminds me of Taylor Swift, which isn't a bad thing.

Apparantly they played loads of new stuff at the Tidal gig. Anywhere we can get the stream?

It started like an average late-Coldplay song but it got better near the end. I really like how it grows.
Let's hope Beyoncè did only backing vocals on this...

Good tune, poppy, melodic and nice gospel feel to it, and nice to hear some guitars at last (Noel's solo at 4.30 I think). Does sound quite a bit like Noel - though funnily enough, Coldplay were complaining to him how he was trying to write a Jonny Buckland style solo in the studio when he was brought in precisely to do his own thing, but he seems to have nailed it.

Yeah, not a bad tune. Not sure it's up with Coldplay best but much better than their new single and Amazing Day. A Head Full of Dreams isn't bad either. I wish though theyd get away from the terrible poppy sugar coated production it's ruining a lot of Martins undeniably great melodies.

That was quite something else, isnt it? This is what coldplay does best an anthem that builds and builds up to the first solo then another victory lap with the final chorus and second solo. Now Im intrigued for AHFOD, hopefully UP&UP is the bar of standard and not Amazing Day and Adventure of a lifetime. If done right I think this one might be on my top 10.
