So the video is going to be them in motion capture outfits as apes. Bizarre, but cool. They'll be Serkis'ing it.

Also there's a spoken word bit from a thirteenth century poem and some of Barack Obama singing Amazing Grace.

Makes for a nice introduction. Talking of introductions, I genuinely think M.M.I.X has become my favourite Mylo Xyloto track. I would kill to hear a proper fleshed out version, it's so gorgeous and 3D sounding. I feel I could reach down into the music and pull out the sounds.

I feel like that's what GS was aiming for, but it was inhibited by a need for accessibility and hit singles.

Its kitschness isn't as bad as Mylo. I was so disappointed the first time I heard Hurts Like Heaven. It sounded great when they performed it at Glastonbury 2011, but the album version is insufferable, largely because of the absurd vocal effects. I'm pleased they didn't go down that route on Adventure Of A Lifetime.

Brace yourself Coldplayers................... The new album features Obama singing a clip of "Amazing Grace" and a guy reading a 13th century poem as an entire track mid album. Plus Ryan Seacrest loves it. The last Beyoncé album pushed Chris to be a BETTER band. Coldplay slowly but surely morphing into Maroon 5. How soon until the eventual Chris Martin solo album and appearing as a regular as a judge on a music show? It's all gonna happen. Beware...............

The last Beyoncé album pushed Chris to be a BETTER band. Excuse me, what? The last Beyoncé album pushed Chris to be a BETTER band. Is this for real? The last Beyoncé album pushed Chris to be a BETTER band. That must be a joke, come on.

Obama and the poem are "art" but Beyonce?!?!...... Fuck me. That's right... bullshit carefully disguised under the name of "art". I can barely stand that, but admitting that you've found some sort of inspiration in anything ever made by Beyoncè is shocking to say the least. What the fuck.

Martin also said that the new Justin Beiber single is one of the bes songs he's heard all year. Are you kidding me?!?!?!?!?!?!? This is the guy who once wrote an album including tunes like Spies and Everything's Not Lost.

It's like the world has gone mad. Again.

I seriously feel bad for the long time Coldplay fans. The band's creative style has taken a turn for the worse all in the course of 7 years, and just nothing but a downhill slope of mocking themselves. How can they play Clocks or The Scientist or Yellow and convince the world they are just as talented and creatively brilliant as when they crafted those pieces? I really hope this is truly the last Coldplay album and they let the name rest, as Chris can start his garbage pop solo career that I will gladly disregard has he collaborates next with Nicki Minaj, Justin Beiber, and Miley Cyrus. FFS. (Rant over)

SERIOUSLY WTF IS THIS? WOW. They should be ashamed of themselves. At least they look like they're having fun

I'll try to make myself like Coldplay for the 15th time, I guess. Watch this with headphones at full blast. If you don't like it, you don't like Coldplay. If you do, I have bad news.; you may be a Coldplay fan.

Tickets on sale before the album is released?
The cynic in me says the long time fans - aka the fans of their alternative rock albums - will feel fucked over when we inevitably dislike the new album in December.

Noel's tickets went on sale nearly 6 months before CY came out. Oh well, with Noel at least you know you will only hear about 5 new ones live, so it's not a disaster when you dislike it Anyway, I don't give a fuck. I will buy tickets anyway, because I've been wanting to see them for years.
