Noel is 5'8"... Really??? (Apologies... Probably more interesting things to take from this segment tbf....;-) ) 172.7 cm. Just converting for us non British users LOL He looks shorter. When I went to see him both times I thought "woah, this man is tiny". He's still taller than me though.

It was fun to listen to! Just all that football talk was distracting. I just wish Noel would stop with the jokes about killing Liam to get an Oscar for the movie. Still not funny! Maybe that's greedy after this, but do you think there will be more interviews before he goes into his well deserved break?

Other than the occasional TalkSport phone-in or maybe something relating to the film, I wouldn't think so...

I remember interview like this last year and when he was asked who will be relegated from PL this year, he said Leicester. LOL!

I remember interview like this last year and when he was asked who will be relegated from PL this year, he said Leicester. LOL! In fairness he was only the same as mostv football fans and pundits, the odds on that feat were 5000/1 at the bookmakers. I think liamgallagher1992 has only recently sobered up having been MIA since early May!

I think anyone who had us to go down (i know i certainly did not think we would struggle) did so because they seen Claudio as a bit of a comical character who didnt have a clue. How wrong they were. Thats the problem that this skysports era of football has created. People get too caught up in the soap opera that is created by the pundits (who we proved wrong so much last season). I think anyone who knows their football and love oasis cringe when they hear Noel talk about football. He really does not have a very good knowledge at all. Stick to the stories about Morrisey and Riverman, we havent heard that one for a while either Noel.

I don't think he's that bad, the only problem I have with him talking football is that he doesn't seem to know much about foreign leagues or isn't to keen on them (but that's the case for quite a few Brits to be honest) As for Leicester I'm happy to say I was one of the few who didn't have them going down last season

Stick to the stories about Morrisey and Riverman, we havent heard that one for a while either Noel. I take your point on Claudio Ranieri although to be fair his record had included middling spells in Italy and being instrumental in getting Athletico Madrid relegated, so I think anyone who had Leicester City down for anything other than a bottom half (not necessarily relegated) finish was very optimistic. The other reasons given were after pulling a team spirit together that saw the club survive relegation at the end of the 2014/15 season Nigel Pearson departed acrimoniously with Cambiasso also leaving. My brother is guilty of revisionism in light of the monumental success of last season but at the start of it a fair few season ticket holders including himself were thinking it was going to be another uphill battle. The thing with Noel is he is good at knowing the history of Manchester City but not necessarily knowing the actual game itself that well, so I take your point there as well. The modern day punditry is part and parcel of the game, and TBH I don't mind people like Jamie Carragher who actually know the game, and whatever your answer I would be willing to bet in July of last year if asked there is no chance you would have believed you could be champions- staying up probably, but not champions

Noel is 5'8"... Really??? (Apologies... Probably more interesting things to take from this segment tbf....;-) ) He's really being kind to himself there, at max, he is 5'7" though in all honesty I think he's smaller - when I saw him he was absolutely tiny. Was taken aback by it, oversized head and a tiny body - thought I was at a Thunderbirds convention where Gerry Anderson had taken Parker out of his suitcase.

Maybe with hair he's 5'8" ?? ;-) Not that it matters really but I could never understand why anyone would 'lie' about their height, seeing as that's clearly down to genetics etc.?!

I take your point about us. Of course i did not predict us to win the league at the start. But i'll tell you when i did - christmas. Yet week in week out these idiots like Souness and Henry were so sick of being proved wrong with their old fashioned, and at times just such limited knowledge of the full game, that they would constantly back other teams to catch us. There really is a reason all of these pundits have either failed, or will fail in management. Just look at how Gary Neville, widely viewed as the best pundit, has just faired at Valencia.

On the Noel interview - is anyone else actually reciting the stories Noel comes out with before he actually does? Like i knew what he would say for Stop Crying Your Heart out story etc.
Does he really repeat the same stuff that much or have i watched his interviews far too much?
Maybe both.
