Hi I'm looking for some information does anyone know where I can buy a replica of noels cherry 355 from Yup, it'll cost 2.5 times the amount Noel paid for his though... www.wunjoguitars.com/shop/electric-guitars/gibson-es-355-td-1962It does look good but slightly worn. I saw it in the shop on Sunday and it's been there a while.

I'd like to buy Noel's Epiphone Union Jack supernova they use to sell but I'm not gonna pay out the ass for something I'd play casually and mainly use as living room decoration.

That's pretty good, but this is even better. A 2014 limited edition Sheraton that is very close to Noel's Union Jack guitar. I would dearly love to get my hands on one. One of the distinguishing features of Noel's Union Jack guitar compared to his current guitars are the minihumbuckers. I know, it's hard to believe considering the massive sound he gets out of it, but the Union Jack guitar and the Epiphone he used on the Be Here Now tour both used minihumbuckers. The Epiphone Union Jack Supernova you posted uses proper humbuckers. So the sound is probably better but not as authentic (for those who care). The Casino that you posted, although looking like humbuckers, actually uses P90s i.e. single coils. Edit: The 2014 limited edition Sheraton is let down by the fact that they didn't paint the edges or back with the Union jack paint job. Noel's was painted all over if I'm not mistaken.

m.thomann.de/gb/epiphone_sheraton_II_bk.htmSlightly off-topic but I was thinking of getting one of these myself, anyone on here own a Sheraton? I've always wanted a semi-acoustic and £345 seems a very reasonable price. That guitar looks absolutely stunning.

What doesn't sound reasonable however is that according ccd204p Noel paid £1.600... when an original case for a sixties 355 costs 3000.

The picture Lennon posted is also a Supernova, just with the pickguard removed. Noel's Union Jack guitar doesn't have a pickguard.

What doesn't sound reasonable however is that according ccd204p Noel paid £1.600... when an original case for a sixties 355 costs 3000. Noel said in a recent interview that the 355 was the best £4000 he had spent on a guitar (back in the day) and that he had taken it on 6 world tours or something. Which interview? Can't remember but it was recent.

For clarification, the 2.5 times relates to the £10,000 that the 1962 Gibson 355 is on sale for at Wunjo (£4,000 x 2.5 = £10,000)

Correct, Noel's is painted all over. However, the paint job on Noel's is much different as the blue is lighter, the white is cream on his and his Union Flag is technically incorrect as the red stripe is central and not to the right as it is on the official flag. I bought this Epiphone but got it painted up like Noel's and it looks the business now!

Talk about your affinity for the Gibson ES-355. I’ve got two or three, and some ES-345s, too. My 1960 ES-355 is the greatest guitar I’ve ever played. It can do anything, and it’s become a part of me. [Ex-Smiths guitarist] Johnny Marr no less picked it up in the studio, then looked like a startled wizard because of how great the guitar is. I got the 355 a while back for 4,000 pounds, and it’s the best 4,000 pounds I’ve ever spent. I’ve taken the guitar on four or five world tours and beat the living daylights out of it, but it still sounds and plays incredible. I’m in awe of the guitar. I put it second to my wife only because I can have sex with her. If I could have sex with that guitar, I’m not sure which I’d choose. www.premierguitar.com/articles/22310-noel-gallagher-high-flying-birdman?page=2

I've read the interview but I didn't know he only paid four grand for it. Absolute bargain.
