8 Oasis songs? Fuck Noel. Just give a look on your solo material, you has too much songs to play, but you keep playing Talk Tonight...
Record Machine AKA.. Broken Arrow Let the Lord Shine a Light on Me A Simple Game of Genius Alone on the Rope The Dying of the Light Do the Damage Revolution Song Freaky Teeth
He should play at least FIVE from these nine great tracks (my choices are bold). But for what? You already has Fade Away, Whatever and Talk Tonight, fuck the solo material.

Don't think it's that bad he's played more Oasis songs at a festival. If it was was on his own tour then maybe.

He should play no Oasis songs, only Don't Look Back in Anger. I don't like it when he's playing songs from Oasis that were sung by Liam under the name Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds Liam team are losers. Fact. 'gemarcher1'

I find it a bit odd that he says he can't sing the high notes in TIOBI anymore, but he still does TDOYAM?

Adds a new song in "Talk Tonight" that he's played about a million times before, when will he play something different? Fuck me.

I doubt he would play the likes of a Simple game of genius. I like the song but I think it would only be appreciated by the die hards and the crowd wouldn't know the words or have even heard it before. I guess this is what happened with Shout it out loud which he only played it on the first gig of this tour.

I'm not too fussed about the number of oasis songs As such...but for god's sake "sing me something new"!
talk tonight - used to love that back in the day, but that needs to f right off. DLBIA too, even digys.
I would want to hear some rare live songs. But would be happy to hear some more mainstream songs of oasis back catalogue if he's concerned about the audience reaction or even some interesting covers if he has to

I could be totally making this up but didn't he say on his first tour that he'd playing a lot less Oasis songs in future and it was just because he only had one album of material he was topping it up with Oasis songs? I get it's a festival and the Oasis songs are crowd pleasers but almost half the set is a bit of a piss take, especially when it's all songs we've heard a million times before.

Don't really see the problem with it at festivals, its his own gigs where he should be mixing it up a bit. I mean does a festival really want to hear Let The Lord Shine A Light On Me? Doubt it.
I'd be happy to never hear Noel sing Champagne Supernova, Fade Away or Whatever but a lot of people would love it so why not?

He should play Songbird. That little recording of Noel singing it didn't sound bad.

He should play Songbird. That little recording of Noel singing it didn't sound bad. His backing vocals on the last Oasis tour were pretty good as well

I'm not being funny but how many have seen Noel in a festival setting?
You want a setlist that goes down well with the crowd - most of whom won't be die hard fans like yourselves.
From Noel's point of view, he obviously wants to get the best reaction possible, and he's not stupid, the most well-received songs every night at his solo gigs are What a Life and the Oasis songs.
A headlining slot at a major UK festival, I think including two more Oasis songs instead of two songs that would get a lukewarm reception was the smart thing to do.

noel's been playing for so long the same songs that he's managing to make us hate some of our favorite songs ever. I mean, I love Talk Tonight and Good to be free, but can't he play something different? So many old Oasis songs to diversify... or even some songs from the HFB that he's barely played.

Even something like Some Might Say, morning glory, go let it out, stop crying your heart out.

I agree with people who say that Noel has to play only 5 Oasis songs on his set BUT there is a LOT of Oasis songs I want to hear acoustically, and who are not often or never played by Noel (Hey Now!, Let's All Make Believe, Take Me Away, Flashbax, Underneath The Sky, Morning Glory, Rock'n'Roll Star, I Hope I Think I Know, Going Nowhere, Gas Panic!, The Girl In The Dirty Shirt, etc) However, I'm impatient to hear While The Song Remains The Same or even Lock All The acoustically.

I'm not sure he'd see it like that though - I imagine the majority of the crowd will have seen Noel live a maximum of once before, so songs like Talk Tonight/Half The World Away won't sound tired to most of the crowd like they would to fans on a forum.

Wow, now he ditched The Dying Of the Light?
Honestly, I have no idea why so many people keep saying "too many Oasis tunes", but I do understand about being pissed with Talk Tonight and HOTWA returning. I mean come on, he played those every single gig last tour. And every single gig in the acoustic tour. Try something different, Step Out, She's Electric, Slide Away, you've sang all those before.
I really hope he shake things up for next year, but I'm afraid he keeps dropping CY tunes for songs played last tour =/
