Mean Mrs. Mustard, I was watching on NPO3. Not this time. By the way, Ride were truly fantastic. If they ever come back here again, I'm the first one to get the ticket. Yeah I figured. I loved Ride too. Will definitely go see them when they come back to NL. That, Noel and Balthazar are the only decent things I've seen on this festival so far. thought ride were pretty boring, they did the same thing all set long, play the tune and end it with an explosion of guitar noise

I was at the Best Kept Secret festival and being there it was much better than watching back the live video now up on youtube. I was way up the front where most of the fans were found. People up there were all singing along and the video/stream didn't really register the crowd well. Although in general Dutch crowds at festivals can be very strange. They go mad for The Vaccines and then stand stratching their heads during Noel. That's why this performance isn't even comparable to the performance at Tivoli Utrecht where you have all the mad fans in a smaller room.

I was at the Best Kept Secret festival and being there it was much better than watching back the live video now up on youtube. I was way up the front where most of the bigger fans were found. But in general Dutch crowds are fucking strange. They went mad for The Vaccines and stand stratching their heads during Noel. Unfortunately that's the Dutch at a festival and I sometimes don't even feel at ease in between them. The gig in Tivoli Utrecht was much much better, with all the fans in one place and no random people in there who don't know a lyric. Well the video quality is ridiculously bad tbf 'cause the livestream was shocking But yeah I know what you mean,I watched other bands from the livestream,I watched Drenge and the crowd didn't even seem remotely interested,Circa Waves and they went crazy,Ride and they didn't make a move for the whole gig,Of Monsters And Men and they only came to life during Little Talks, which is their most famous song, same with Balthazar

They go mad for the one hit wonders that appeard on the radio. T-shirt Weather by Circa Waves, Little Talks by OMAM. Music like Noel's just doesn't really make an impact over here. The Libertines got a similar sort of crowd as Noel's with a group of fans at the front loving it and then the masses just standing there.

People went fucking mad during Alt J. Singing along, cheering. They hardly ever get played on the radio and the singer can't sing to save his life, so that was very surprising.
It's always different when you're there. I was at Pinkpop last year and recently re-watched Arctic Monkey's performance on Youtube and the crowd looked dead. I can assure you that they weren't.

Who cares about dutch reviews? Nobody really, but it's kind of rare for him to get so many bad reviews for a gig This is the same guy whose show in Boston was dubbed as "the best show of the year" two weeks ago after all

Does it matter from which countries the reviews are coming? Is an English review worth more than a Dutch one?

Dutch reviewers are just stupid, one of them called Noel's songs joyless, the masteplan has lost its impact and champagne supernova was shit. But the same guy thought the jesus and mary chain were amazing, nuff said really then..

Just came back from the Hurricane Festival. Regarding Noel's gig: To be honest, the best thing probably was seeing Florence enjoying herself in the back. Noel didn't seem to enjoy it much and I was seemingly the only person who knew more songs than DLBIA (exaggerating a bit here). It's a bit sad really...The first thing I thought after the set was that I NEED to see Noel live IN THE UK! Must be a whole different experience. Or Italy maybe. These lifeless crowds ruin the gig for me. And with Noel it's almost always "Good crowd → Noel's enjoying it → People enjoy it even more → blabla...". On festivals like that you probably need some kind of animator as a frontman. To the people on here dissing Alt-J. Firstly, I think their first album is brilliant (haven't listened much to their latest yet). Secondly, they were great live. Thirdly, people enjoyed themselves during their set, great atmosphere even if it was raining. So, what's the fuss? They were one of the highlights, I'd say. The biggest surprise for me was definitely Florence. I didn't listen to any of her songs before (only when some of them were played on the radio), but it was absolutely mind-blowing. What a woman, it was a performance out of this world. I'm still very excited and impressed. I wish she'd dedicated a song to Noel though...as he did to her earlier, but well. Very impressive, that lady.

Very impressive, that lady. Noel was quite low on the bill (he was on at 17.45,right?),so you can't expect the crowd to be that much into it sadly, plus it was in Germany...but yeah you need to come to Italy and see a Noel gig here I don't like Alt-J (we were talking about Best Kept Secret btw,I didn't even know they were playing at Hurricane),they're not my thing, but I'm glad you had fun I'm not a Florence fan either, but I've always respected her for her music and liked her as a character, the fact that she's an Oasis/Noel Gallagher fan makes me like her even more

That singer he was taking the piss out of, Casper, was spotted at his set at the Hurricane Festival, there's a video of him singing along to DLBIA Catfish And The Bottlemen were watching him too apparently, and Florence of course

I've seen him at Noel's gig in Berlin, too. He has also covered Oasis quite a few times. See here (he could've done worse): He actually says: "This is a cover song, from the best band of all time" at the beginning. I don't know why he's making such shit music though. Can't stand it and Noel's right. He sounds like he's been strangled.
