I still can't believe im going!! I was meant to purchase tickets a few months ago, when it was announced that Ian Brown and The Charlatans were playing. The venue only had seating tickets left, so my mates decided against going. So you can imagine how pissed off i was, when the other week i discover not only is Paul Weller playing, but Noel Gallagher is headling. Fucking unreal man! I rang the Manchester Arena last week, clearly expecting it to be sold out. Amazingly they had just 3 tickets left! I bought 2. Shit seats mind. High up on the 2nd tier, at the back of the arena. Real bad seats. Still at least im going! I may try and swap my tickets with a tout (scalper) outside the venue. Or i may just blag my way down onto the arena floor. I have done that before, and it's not too difficult. So yeah, what a night it's going to be! Im looking forward to this as much as Maine Road in 1996. Un-fucking-real.!!!!!!!!!

The one before this is 11.10pm, which is going to be hard to catch. If you get a lift, and you passing Preston, then give me a shout! I will chuck you a tenner!

Anyone know of any good pubs that will be open after the show? My train is not until 1.25am, so i wouldn't mind killing some time in a bar around Piccadilly. Is the Printworks open late? I suppose i could go in there...

'cos i was hopin for a good hour set each from Ian Brown and Paul Weller and then the usual set Noels bin doin on his acoustic tour What time is everyone expectin it 2 finish?

XFM say they'll be broadcasting live from the event, says so on their website. Oh yeah, I saw that before but I don't know whether it'll be just a backstage thing or a proper broadcast of the gig. Hopefully the latter.

Anyone fancy meeting up for a beer, before or after the show? Im’ travelling into Manchester on my own from Preston. I will most probably be in and around a few bars in Piccadilly from 3pm onwards. The Dry Bar on Oldham Street and then onto the Print Works look like the best bet. I can see the Hard Rock Café rocking with Oasis videos. The Hard Rock Café usually dedicates it’s video music selection to who is playing in Manchester. Generally a good laugh in here, before a gig. Definitely the place to be on Friday afternoon.

If your looking for a good bit of boozing after the gig, you wanna follow the tram tracks till you come to the other side of the bus station, then take a left and a right at the cafe on the corner and try this new place called Trof.
Loads of good beer, ask for the cheese beer, its a nice smokey number.
