As you all know, two acts have been confirmed (the unremarkable Foo Fighters and divisive Kanye West) so there is much speculation as to who the final act is. It is a strange one as usually all headliners are announced by now, but all will be revealed on June 1. But it's something special - Michael Eavis says it will be 'two big British bands coming together'. Speculation is rife with the usual names such as The Stone Roses, Oasis and Blur being bandied around, in addition to usual festival resident Chris Martin. Surely not Oasis AND Blur teaming up?! Any thoughts as to who the British bands are that will team up? And what is Noel's itinerary for these dates? It will probably be unremarkable though - Mumford and Sons with One Direction. www.express.co.uk/entertainment/music/572379/Michael-Eavis-Glastonbury-Oasis

It's probably Blur and possibly Radiohead.

"2 of the biggest british bands" probably wont be that big of a deal, people are thinking oasis? stone roses? blur? and it probably will turn out to be one direction and kaiser chiefs.

Beady Eye and the guy from Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds? (Sorry, had to be done) Would be a good opportunity for the Stone Roses to get back into the spotlight if they're actually planning to go ahead with that third album.

Might aswell be the "purple rinse brigade on day release" Liam was tweeting about. - the Who and the Stones or Motörhead and the Prince of Darkness (...it could be anyone really)

It's not actually two acts joining up but two separate acts playing one after the other.
I reckon Blur for the headliner and The Libertines/Noel for the "penultimate" act.

I have a feeling it will be blur as headline act seeing as they have just come back and have a new album, with Noel playing beforehand, him on his own isnt a big enough name to headline but hes well known enough to join up with blur.
I just cant see them not booking Noel after he said he would do it, its just too good an offer to turn down imo.

I'd love to see Blur headline again. They absolutely blew it away it in 2009.

After the first two headliners were announced I must say I was underwhelmed but this whole third headliner guessing game thing is really getting me excited.

Apparently the Who had to postpone their gig in Amsterdam and had to cancel a gig in Paris to make this happen. That's a bit lame.
Most people don't seem to be too enthusiastic about this, by the way.

Yep, cancelled two Paris gigs and rearranged it into the one gig (not sure how that works given both seemed to be sold out) and moved their Amsterdam gig as well which is hardly fair. It's a strange booking as they headlined in 2007 and Glastonbury don't tend to repeat heritage acts but I suppose it'll be billed as their last UK date or something. Weller playing makes even less sense as he's not really big enough for that sort of slot nowadays.

This may be an unpopular opinion but I don't find The Who at all appealing to listen to, save for a couple of songs.
I'm not sold on the three headliners this year - I'll probably still end up enjoying watching them, but at this point in time it leaves a lot to be desired.
