That's it...
The votes are in and I have the winner in my head. In the very next post, I shall reveal said winner; the best song as voted for by all of you wonderful people. The best song by Oasis, Beady Eye or Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.
Here we go...

Not surprised Live Forever won. Next up is the pre-Definitely Maybe demos?

Not surprised Live Forever won. Next up is the pre-Definitely Maybe demos? That is one idea I'd like to do. After that though I've got nothing. I was going to let the dust settle a bit first, let everyone discuss the winner and then see if anyone had any more ideas. But the demos would be a good thread.

We could do it on Beatles albums, no?
Or others bands, whatever

Just for the hell of it, how many did it win by?

Best Of the "worst"? All the ones votes off first in each of the threads?
All The Covers?
Collaborations?

Did nobody like my idea have having all the first round elimination songs together and people voting for their favourite, so that the one at the end was the least like Gallagher tune in history?

We could do it on Beatles albums, no? Or others bands, whatever I think the problem with other bands is, we have such a broad range of tastes that some won't have heard all the tracks

How about, for pure fun, doing Stop The Clocks or Time Flies? I mean, its obvious how they will end but, just for fun?

How about doing a remixes elimination? Of course, there'd be mostly DOYS tracks and the Champagne Supernova Brendan Lynch mixes, but it'd still be interesting!

Yea I think different bands is the best idea - well known ones with a relatively small amount of albums, like Coldplay or The Verve

I reckon an Elimination for all unreleased/officially recorded demos, aka everything from "Strange Thing" to "Come On Outside", basically any song that hasn't had a proper final album master recording.
Would be good methinks

How about the Noel & Liam's work outside Oasis, Beady Eye or NGHFB (Not including live):
'I Walk on Gilded Splinters [Dr. John Cover]' - Paul Weller (NG, Guitar, 1995) 'Come Together [The Beatles Cover]' - Smokin' Mojo Filters (NG, Guitar, 1995) 'Setting Sun' - The Chemical Brothers (NG, Songwriting Credit & Lead Vocal, 1997) 'Come On' - The Verve (LG, Backing Vocal, 1997) 'Love Me and Leave Me' - The Seahorses (LG, Songwriting Credit, 1997) 'Nothing Lasts Forever' - Echo & The Bunnymen (LG, Backing Vocal, 1997) 'Temper Temper' - Goldie (NG, Guitar, 1998) 'Teotihuacan' - Noel Gallagher (NG, 1998) 'Let Forever Be' - The Chemical Brothers (NG, Songwriting Credit, Lead Vocal, 1999) 'Carnation [The Jam Cover]' - Liam Gallagher & Steve Cradock (LG, Lead Vocal, 1999) 'Scorpio Rising' - Death In Vegas (LG, Lead Vocal, 2002) 'One X One' - Paul Weller (NG, Various Instruments, 2002) 'Shoot Down' - The Prodigy (LG, Lead Vocal, NG, Bass Guitar, 2004) 'Free Love, Freeway' - David Brent (NG, Guitar, 2004) 'Keep What Ya Got' - Ian Brown (NG, Songwriting Credit, 2004) 'Some Weekend Night' - The Stands (NG, Guitar, 2004) 'Echoes Round the Sun' - Paul Weller (NG, Songwriting Credit, Various Instruments, 2008) 'My Fantasy' - Miles Kane (NG, Backing Vocal, 2011)
I may have missed a few however I've left Noel's work out with 'Proud Mary' and 'Tailgunner' on purpose as he seems to feature on multiple tracks. I'd be tempted to remove the cover songs personally, but it's up to you, if you fancy it.
It'd be interesting to work out a way to get a Ride/Heavy Stereo track or two into the mix...
