Noel's said that, put under pressure, he had a quick look through the album lyrics and picked out Chasing Yesterday as a suitable title for the album.
Looking through the lyrics, what else do you think could have done the job?
These are some loose suggestions:
"Behind the Rainbows End"
"The Sea That Was Standing Still"
"Where the Magic Sleeps"
"The Silent City Walls"
Anything else?

If not from the lyrics I would have simply called it "Tomorrow"

Silent City Walls and Behind The Rainbow's End would have been pretty good. CY is okay too though - not great, but as Noel said, WTSMG is pretty shit and nobody cares anymore. |

I would vote for 'The Dying Of The Light'. I prefer when the album is titled from the one of the album tracks.

I would vote for 'The Dying Of The Light'. I prefer when the album is titled from the one of the album tracks. Amazingly, only 1 album from the entire Oasis/Beady Eye/High Flying Birds cycle is named after one of the tracks. Be Here Now Maybe 2 if you count Morning Glory. |

Chasing Yesterday is the best title based on the theme(s) of the album.
If anything needed more work it's the artwork (not just the front image but also the printed lyrics, some of the "mistakes" and weird punctuations are shocking.

I like Behind The Rainbow's End or Silent City Walls. Those are pretty cool.
I'm glad he didn't name it after a song, I hate it when artists do that. I feel as if that doesn't represent the album well.

When we got hold of some demos the bootleg album should definitely be called Chasing Tomorrow. Just sayin'.
