Well, this is different...at least it disproves the theory that only Oasis fans are going to Noel's concerts!

Noel was on fire again the crowd weren't even a touch on the Manc crowd (sorry but true) Still loved it, and am actually narcissistic enough to be loving a retweet from Noel twitter (could've done some nottingham pics that were actually good vs this one but (as assume they must read here) but thank you for this week / tour so far been soooo epic.. The boys done good )

Seems like Tim Smith is more relaxed onstage now. Last tour he showed no emotion or movement lol

Really glad to hear people are enjoying The Mexican so much live, as it was received as a let down on the album.

Aftershow Looks like Paul Gallagher isn't the only one averse to spinning Oasis songs...? I mean, I do get it though, playing Oasis songs right after a Noel concert is a little silly... At the aftershow party (Beady Eye) in cologne, the DJs played maybe 20% Oasis songs and that was one of the best partys ever! In a small full hot club and everyone was singing and freaking out when a oasis song came out of the boxes...!!! So COME ON! Of corse oasis songs at after show partys. That's definitely NOT uncool... I mean, everyone loves that music and WHEN will you hear a oasis song when you're out in a club? In germany never!!!

I guess it depends on your opinion, but you're right, if you haven't heard an Oasis song in a club then it's pretty cool to hear one. I'll be the first to say I never get tired of hearing an Oasis song, in whatever setting. But I can also see why some people would rather let their hair down to some great electronic music or something; after the high of a live performance, you don't really need to hear a played Oasis song. It'd be enough just to be in the same small club as Liam or Noel or Bonehead. Pretty cool that you were at a good BE aftershow party

Riverman sounded really cool.
Thought new songs sounded best, especially The Mexican, which is a song I love off the album, the weakest track imo on CY is YKWCGB, but Live it was one of the highlights of the night.
Great to hear Oasis songs, CS was amazing as was The Masterplan but overall new stuff went down better to me.
EOTR was another highlight, Dream On was cool as was IIHAG. Crowd around block I was in were great. Could see the idiots standing fighting, thankfully they were thrown out.
Can't compare to Manch gig as I wasn't there but I've seen Oasis dozens of times and saw Noel at O2 last time & can say this gig was up there, loved it.
One thing I did notice was general discussion on way in to the O2 from people saying how great CY is.

Noel was on point last night for sure, great gig! Crowd was as expected flat but thats the 02 for you. For anyone who was doubting Noel's voice earlier in the tour should check out some videos from last night, spot on! What A Life was particularly good from Noel. Roll on Berlin..

This was where I watched the gig from: Found out at 3:00 yesterday that my mate had been given free tickets to the gig (VIP tickets at that with a private box) so off we went!

Do the Damage = great opener (Stranded On) The Wrong Beach = went down well with the crowd Everybody's on the Run = Very well received as per previous tour Fade Away (Oasis cover) = nice version, although Gem was better on the solos In the Heat of the Moment = bye bye to the Na na nas. Not as good as it could be IMO Lock All the Doors = Brilliant...I was going mental Riverman = personally think this wasn't that good live at all....it's a stand out on the album...but not live The Death of You and Me = A crowd pleaser....but not for me (but only as I don't like the track) You Know We Can't Go Back = V.Good Champagne Supernova (Oasis cover)= Amazing version. had heard videos of it from other gigs...but when you are there!...WOW Ballad of the Mighty I = better without Marr! Dream On = delivered well...just not a fan of it The Dying of the Light = excellent The Mexican = Stand out! really good live...better than album AKA... Broken Arrow = Always good Digsy's Dinner (Oasis cover) = nailed it If I Had a Gun... = nailed it as well
Encore: Don't Look Back in Anger (Oasis cover) = ok...I have to see past my want to never hear this again! was grate version AKA... What a Life! = awesome The Masterplan (Oasis cover) = immense!

Thought the gig was very good, it was my first time at the O2. I had a feeling that the crowd was very flat at the start but when he sang Fade Away it picked up a lot around me from then on. Personal highlight was Champagne Supernova. Couple of quotes from Noel:
Someone started a fight:
'Fancy picking a fight wearing a pink cardigan'
Dedicating If I had a gun to his wife:
'I dedicate this next song to my wife....and she's not there, she's fucked off somewhere'

Really nice to read all these comments from people who were in the gigs, at O2 and at all other venues in UK too. The Chasing Yesterday Tour seems to be very strong, better than the last one, mainly because Noel's feeling very comfortable on stage. The new songs are very good and looks like it's getting better and better live. I'm very excited to listen and watch the pro-recordings that are coming in the next days. For sure it will be extraordinary.

I like how the setlist keeps changing slightly. It's not new songs but I love how every time I check online, the order is a little different.
