Has Noel made any comments towards that beautiful intro piece to this song? It's purpose, where it came from, when he thought it up? Honestly, it's the part I look most forward to.
Would be perfect in a movie soundtrack of some sort.

Pulls on the strings of my heart, or however that saying goes. The song melts me away everytime I hear it. Total perfection.

AA haven't been credited with it have they? Maybe a Strange Boy Stacey production? Can't believe Noel came up with it?!

Both Noel and Paul Stacey played the Mellotron on the album. It could well be that the makes the sound.

This song needs to be played live. Noel would absolutely kill it. Get rid of the fucking Mexican for this ace tune, Noel.

Gotta say, I think this is the best song on the album. It's not something I can say about a lot of Noel/Oasis songs, but I love how understated and subtle the electric guitar parts (fills?) are in this song during the verses. It's just got a fantastic pace and vibe to it and Noel really nails the vocals.

They don't play it live because the bass player couldn't stop himself from shouting backin' vocals and exposing his teeth furiously into the microphone all the time.

He should replace Dream On with While The Song Remains The Same. yeah exactly- dream on is maybe the weakest song he has done as a solo guy..so boring

Im quite surprised with how much of a perfectionist Noel is that he hasnt had words with him yet, even tim smiths guitar playing hasnt been too great on a few occasions, I just simply think that if russell cant reach the notes dont do them, it sounds terrible when hes shouting along behind. Its just not professional.

Yeah I like Russell and and Tim as persons, but this is a professional band, and at this point in Noel's career he can have a tight band with people who can actually sing the backing vocals and who can actually play the guitar. Noel's stuff isn't that hard to play, apparently, and even if it was, then still.

One of the best on Chasing Yesterday without a doubt.Everything about this song reminds me Alone on the Rope which is a great song too. Noel should write more songs like that instead of "dance songs"like What a Life or ITHOTM. Otherwise, Riverman starts to annoy me a little bit, I still love the Right Stuff and The Dying of the Light, and, I still don't get TGWXRE, ITHOTM and The Mexican
