He claimed it was about himself later on : P I love that song though I remember reading that and thinking "There's no way this song isn't about Paul McCartney" I also quite like the song itself but the context of it just makes me feel sad above anything. The fact that two best friends that formed the best songwriting partnership of all time suddenly disliked each other enough to write bitter and nasty songs about each other is a horrible thought. |

I'd go for Mother.
All that pent up rage and frustration over the years just pours out on this one, and the entire album. It's Lennon at his most pessimistic, and optimistic (at the end anyway) - a very cathartic release, it sounds like the album he really desperately needed out of his system. Wonder if that impacted upon his latter releases that were somewhat tame in comparison.

Instant Karma one of his bests and underrated by non-fans, along with Mother.

I'm also a huuuuuuuuuuuuge fan of "Nobody Told Me". I know it came out after his death and was originally meant for Ringo but boy oh boy is it a fun, rocking tune!
