Yeah but if people genuinely want to show support and respect to the French people then let them do it That doesn't take anyhing away from all the people who have been killed in Turkey or in the Middle East,it's not a competition,we just feel more touched by it as it happened in a country close to ours I think that is the point, because this, from a Western European point of view, literally hit close to home. Especially in the music community, with the concert hall as one of the targets, where Noel himself has played and I assume some of us here have attended at least once or know someone who has or practice "concert tourism" in general. The human being is selfish by nature and what shocks and touchs us the most is the thing we can identify with. At least that is how I see it. Or is someone here who did not immediately think, "wait, do I know someone who is in Paris right now?!". Which of course does not mean that the unknown vicitims there or everywhere in the world do not count. |
