Noels lost the plot with this wife stuff. What the fucks happened to him? Either he's cheating on her and he's trying to cover his tracks or he's mentally ill and regressing to his teenage years. Or maybe he just loves her and he's the fucking soft guy you don't want him to be 'cause it's not cool and laddish enough |

I don't care about the 'lad image' either. But the way Noel conducts himself in interviews, he seems very witty and interesting. His Instagram posts are the polar opposite of that. |

The one post about Sarah was cute. It's not like it's every other one. He probably got the picture and liked it so much that he shared it. Anyone that says the whole thing is bland obviously hasn't kept up with it. The account is worth it if only for the picture of the begging dog in New Orleans! lol Sure I liked the Tales...by does everyone else remember that there would sometimes be weeks between entries after the first few weeks. Noel would generally start all keen like he did this time and the first few would be done really well then slowly either get bored with the diary or just get caught up in the tour life. But slowly it would be slightly less witty and you got more of an impression that he was struggling for new things to say when all he generally gets time to do on an extended world tour is see venues, airports/airplanes, and hotel rooms. Not necessarily conducive to nonstop hilarious stories. It could sometimes have been several countries later by the time someone finally got him to write another one and then they would end up just being a recap of where he had been and generally an update on the weather with less personality. Wouldn't necessarily give shoutouts or acknowledgement to each city. I loved the Tales but Noel seems more regular about updating Instagram. Even if it's just to say thanks to a city. I get a good chuckle at some of his pictures that aren't the shoutouts to the cities. He still has a notable sense of humour on instragram I think. |

His Instagram is more interesting than the majority of brands and other celebrities using it as an advertisement.
I'd rather see a photo of his wife or restaurant menu than people trying to be artsy mobile photographers, and I say that as a mobile photographer. At least we all have something to say other than mundane thoughts like "cool", "beautiful", "nice one", etc.

I agree with you but I really don't think Noel actually takes or participates himself actively on instagram. I say this because, funny story, Noel, Russ and Phil actually walked into the gift shop my wife and I were browsing in New Orleans on Bourbon street (the same shop that 'drunk dog' was performing in front of). My wife hit my on the back to get my attention...when I turned I saw it was Noel. I just nodded my head and said hello to them because that's their personal time, and I respect that. My wife and I then walk outside and continue on with our day. As we are exiting the gift shop, Lawrence Watson sees me and calls out my name, I turn around and we have a small chat. By now, Noel has fucked off with Russ and Phil down Bourbon St. when Lawrence proceeds to take a Poloroid of the performing dog Noel posted on his instagram account (shot the same Poloroid camera he used to shoot Noel's first album cover with). He then switches cameras and uses his digital camera for more of the same shots. As a kind gesture, he gives me the Poloroid he just shot, we take a photo together and part ways. During the whole time I don't even think Noel saw the dog...and he certainly didn't take any pictures of it. I've included the poloroid Lawrence gave me and of us outside just before Noel left. The reason for the story is because I really don't think Noel cares about instagram, pictures or how witty he comes across on it. In fact, I'm sure he has someone else running it for him.
