Great gig. I sent the setlist updates to StopCryingYourHeartOut as it went on. Champagne Supernova was immense, so to was Mighty I. DLBIA just isnt the same in a big venue on the acoustic as the electric version is. I'd remove Alone On The Rope from the encore as no-one around me had a clue what it was. "Must be a new one", said one person near me. If whack AOTR into the main set and do a three song encore: straight in with What A Life, then Masterplan, then end on an electric Anger

Thanks for all the updates and your thoughts. I (as well as most people on here ) were truly excited to see CS on the setlist. I was wondering about DLBIA acoustic. I can see why it'd be pretty hard to make that as epic as the electric version, but oh well, Noel's trying something different.

It made for exciting reading on here! I always prefer the electric version of Don't Look Back In Anger but I'll reserve judgement until Saturday. Imagine not knowing Alone On The Rope. Part timers!

Shout It Out Loud AND Dying Of The Light? He should do a cover of Weeping Willow too to complete the trilogy

Where Did It All Go Wrong? (Demo) would've worked so fucking well on this tour. It kinda follows the same style as the new album. Idk, just my two cents.

Anyone know if TDOTL was done electric or acoustic?

I must say, I'm happy with that setlist. It's not a carbon copy of last tour's with a few new additions and I'm glad Shout it Out Loud made the cut!
Is it too soon for ideal setlist threads? Don't want to sound ungrateful but how my head spins with ideas.

Not gonna lie, I've wanted an acoustic Champagne Supernova for years but I'm not feeling its vibe from these videos. This capo acoustic arrangement just sounds too poppy and happy-go-lucky for that kind of song. I'd hoped for a stripped down CS like the one that apparently brought Bonehead to tears, an epic. I'm afraid Noel's capo treatment may have worked wonders on Slide Away and Supersonic but not CS.
Anyways The Masterplan/AOTR sound mega as do all the new songs! Very happy with these recordings overall.

Anyone know if TDOTL was done electric or acoustic? Noel was on acoustic but it was a full band performance so Tim was on electric. I actually think it would sound immense if Noel was to play his part on the electric too, a bit like Talk Tonight from the Radio 1 Session in 2000.

So what's the official set list? He tinkered with the Dublin setlist - AOTR was dropped, Broken Arrow was brought in and the order was changed (What A Life closed the main set, Mighty I was in the encore). There will probably still be some changes to be made as the tour goes on

They didn't play for half of the HC tour and half of the NGHFB tour...

I have full videos of the 2 Champagne Supernova (Belfast / Dublin). I will upload them as soon as possible but it will take time with my silly internet bandwidth -_-
Fantastic singalong !
And he did Do The Damage during the soundcheck in Dublin. Very good live!
