Should've won that game, weren't in any danger at any point during the match but switched off at one set piece and that's all it took.

Old irrelevant men like Craig Brown now being wheeled out to give his ill informed opinion.
Who the fuck decided he was suddenly the wizened old head of Scottish football? The guy did fuck all in his managerial career.

You’re a Dons fan, so I was wondering what you’re opinion, and the general fan opinion,on McInnes is? I think he’s mediocre and Aberdeen are stagnating with him in charge, neither going forward or backwards.

What I've seen so far this season has me in the McInnes out camp now. If you look at forums/social media the majority now seem to him gone as well but always hard to gauge how representative that is of the entire fan base. Not too many rumblings at any of the home games but there was a lot of anger directed his way at Hearts mid week.
I was willing to write off the 17/18 season as a rebuild after losing Hayes, McGinn (for 6 months) and Jack all in the same window. However that's been 6 transfer windows now and we're still on the slide which isn't helped by his insistence on signing players who've had serious injury issues which means half of them spend more time in the treatment room than on the pitch.
We have been fairly consistent in the cups and he has been unlucky in the sense that we've had 3 finals now where we've faced a Celtic team who are on an unprecendented run of dominance in the cup competitions.
My biggest issue is the football we're playing however. Even when we win it's usually been a grind that we then sit back and try and manage out the game once we go ahead. Negative, defensive tactics and absolutely eye bleeding hoofball to Cosgrove who then usually doesn't have a red shirt within 30 yards of him even if he does manage to get the ball under control. I genuinely believe it is down to McInnes' tactics as well as we do have players who are clearly good footballers (Hedges, McGinn, Ferguson, Wilson, McLennan) who for some reason seem to play within themselves and do the safety first option every time.
We're lucky that Hearts and Hibs are a shambles as well which means we're somehow still 4th in the league otherwise the pressure would be a lot higher. Milne absolutely loves him though and unless we slide down the table and crowds drop significantly I can't see him being sacked any time soon. I don't have any delusions of grandeur, realistically there's no chance of competing with the old firm over the course of a season in the league. The gulf in resources is just too big. We should have won more than 1 cup in his 6 seasons here now and the failure to even get past the 3rd round of Europa qualifying isn't good enough.

McInnes is another symptom of Largs - a smart, intelligent coach who has been brainwashed into thinking we want to see our teams pass the ball sideways for 90 minutes.
I thought Neilson was the same. I don’t know what happened over the summer though as he’s decided to take the reigns off our team and actually start attacking teams now.
