Historically, it's a fantastic stadium. But I'm inclined to say it's had its day. The renovated one of the last 20 plus years is a soulless shell of what was once one of the greatest stadiums in the world.
Not fit for purpose these days.

Historically, it's a fantastic stadium. But I'm inclined to say it's had its day. The renovated one of the last 20 plus years is a soulless shell of what was once one of the greatest stadiums in the world. Not fit for purpose these days. It's great we have a neutral stadium for cup finals and I've have some great memories from Hampden following United (and lots of heartbreak too!). When it was re-developed in the 90's it was a missed opportunity. They could have demolished the east and west terracing and put a couple of new stands behind the goals but they simply put seats on the old terracing and stuck a roof on them. In an ideal world, we'd have a new stadium build somewhere in the middle of the country, but the dinosaurs that run our game could never see past "tradition" and would never want to have a national stadium outside Glasgow. I know they've held talks with the SRU to use Murrayfield but I'll be very surprised if that comes to anything. |

Great job from the weegie press in the 6 week relentless campaign to unsettle him and the club rolling out every hun under the sun to say what a great appointment he'd be. At this point he can fuck off to be honest, his head has clearly been turned to the hun job. He's failed miserably at rebuilding the squad this season and we're definitely beginning to go backwards. |

That's why I didn't think he'd go, I know he was a Rangers 1872-2012 fan but thought he'd be smarter than to go there at the moment. They have no money and are nowhere near Celtic and the fans won't settle for 2nd. Looks like I was wrong on that one though. |
