Hearts successfully put back in their box in a very satisfying win. Absolutely ruined my shin at the second goal but totally worth it. Graeme Shinnie is the best player in the league and when he's in the mood McGinn is absolutely unplayable. Shinnie's absence sorely felt at Caley. He gives so much attacking credentials for a full back and it's obvious with Aberdeen scoring a good rate of goals. |

I always thought he was a good player at Caley but still didn't appreciate just how good he is. He hasn't been worse than an 8/10 in any game for us this season whether he's been at LB or CM. I think I actually prefer him playing in midfield however, he's perfect foil to allow Jack to pull the strings and a midfield 3 of Jack, Shinnie and McLean is a joy to watch. |

Was at the Morton v Motherwell game tonight. Some laugh, especially when the ref had to stop the game due crowd trouble. Still not sure what exactly happened as the first thing I saw was one steward dragging another one away presumably for fighting with the Motherwell fans. Awful result and performances from them though, can't see Baraclough lasting much longer if they don't get a result on Saturday.
Shouts to Ross County and St. Johnstone though!

That was the kind of game that would put you off football for life. Fortunately it was only the diddy cup and hopefully we can bounce back against Queens on Friday.

The names that have been mentioned are all pretty depressing to be honest. Wright would at least get us organised and defending a bit better I would hope. He's been offered and improved contract by the Saints now though so we'll need to see what happens. Thompson should be getting down on his hands and knees to Levein and make him an offer he can't refuse. |

I don't think Strachan should be sacked, he's still much better than the previous managers, but no matter who comes in they will just be polishing a turd.
