Noel plays Lock All the Doors with capo on 3th fret, but is much more easier to play without capo. Riverman with capo on 8th is a bit strange, I'm playing with capo on 1st (but I know Noel plays with capo on 8th). The Girl with X-Ray Eyes is very easy, the intro is the same as The Masterplan, but isn't the same chords. Trying to get the way that Noel do this. I've been playing Lock All The Doors with a capo on 5  |

Yeah, Champagne Supernova Acoustic, i popped a tab up on ultimate but its basically:
Capo 3
Verse 1: G, F, C, G
Chorus 1: repeat
Verse 1: G, F, C, G, G, F, C, D
Chorus 1: G, F, C, D, G, F, C, D
Bridge: F, C, D, F, C, G
From that you can work most of it out.
He does a fancy hammer on to what i think is Cadd9 on the intro last G, big hammer on the C's too.

Why didn't he just played the regular chords with the capo on first? or did he change the chords whole structure as well? |

I think he just does it because Capo 3 is his fret of choice these days with Dying of the Light being on it (with his Wonderwall chordset).
Also, the hammer ons make it sound quite good, hes not the most daring of guitarist, but finds hammer ons very easy live and this sounds well with them. Anyone who criticises his ability on guitar just has to watch his best ever live performance of Champagne Supernova in the GMEX on the Be Here Now tour.

What about While The Song Remains The Same? This tune is amazing and its growing on me by the second! Just play Falling Down and sing WTSRTS over it  (not to demean the song - its a better version of FD in my opinion!) |

Thank you very much. One thing, are you sure about that D minor? I though it the "D" he uses in Live Forever, Slide Away, Don't Go Away -- it's a D7 with open high E string im not 100% it may be a variant on Dm but im a bit confused by the songs you list as far as i know the songs all feature a different D chord live forever uses Dmaj, slide away has a D7 and Don't go away is a Dm. i think its a D5 (x3200x) but I like to play the song in a slower version so Dm works fine there too. |

I play the F as 0-3-3-2-1-3 while doing this. If you play this then play as you suggest, I prefer Noel's new way  |

I know the verse is CAPO 1: C, F, Am (the Am is double length) That is all lol Play it with a capo on 6 to match Noel and use a G - C - Em7 (similar to Wonderwall chords) |

Riverman: Capo 8th Verse is Am7 (002010) and Dsus2 (000230) over and over. Chorus is Fmaj7, C, E, Am7, G x2 and the after the second time you play those chords, the 'In a little while...' bit is fmaj7, dsus2, Am7. That's how I have it anyway (cover coming imminently) I've been playing a G instead of Dsus2 but whatever floats your boat I watched him playing Riverman in Düsseldorf up the front, and now have that gig on DVD (thanks guys). With capo at the 8th fret Noel plays in the verse: Am7 x02010 ?? xx304x Which is basically taking the first shape, then sliding it up 2 frets, repeat. Let the first chord ring fully over five strings but note the odd timing of the 2nd chord and try not to let other strings ring with this one. The chorus changes to: Fmaj7 xx3210 Cmaj7 332000 E 022100 Am x02210 G 320033 fmaj7 xx3210 repeat The odd single chords at the end of this part appear to be: 204xxx 103xxx 002xxx cheers plank |

Dying of the Light solo
I'll probably post any future tabs on ultimate-guitar.com as mine always seem to come out skewed on here.
I have done the Lock all the Doors solo too which I'll put up in a bit.
